My mother-in-law had a liver biopsy procedure done in March 2018 & had to share a tiny room with another surgery patient for 2 days (overnight)! I understand the need to utilize less space during expansion/construction however, every time we had to come or go from the room we had to ask the family to stand up in order to pass to the back of the room to get to her!! There was simply a cloth curtain dividing the 2 sides & NO bathroom in their room ๐Ÿ‘Ž (2 months ago)

My 90 year old mother has been in Wyoming Medical Center for a couple weeks. She was receiving good nursing care while in ICU as a stroke patient but after being transferred to the Neurology floor, we have noticed that she is not even getting the basic care regularly. When we have gone to visit, she has been laying in her own urine. She has not had a remote within reach so cannot even contact anyone (plus she doesn't really understand how to use the call button). Her TV has been off, her books are out of reach. She has not had a shower or had her hair washed or combed. They say they did a spitz bath. Her mouth is full of dried saliva or "snot". She had on an oxygen mask but no oxygen coming out of it. I am very disappointed in this care. We were hoping the nurses would want to help her get better, but it appears they only want a paycheck. I am appalled to see such low ratings so I felt compelled to post my experience since I love this place. 3 years ago I delivered my daughter here, and I was so comforted by the wonderful staff. 3.5 years ago I went to the ER with a silly pregnancy concern but the staff was so great at not making me feel dumb for over reacting. 5 years ago my husband had an emergency splenectomy, and the staff was again amazing and compassionate.
