Two days ago I went to this hospital with my husband. My husband had to have same day surgery. The service was very professional. We were taken in quickly and the nurses were very nice. I would especially like to thank a polish nurse, Marianna, for her help and great care. I was surprised to see these reviews because everything went extremely smooth and we didn't have to worry about anything. The nurse still calls me to remind me that I left something at the hospital and to check in on my husband. The personnel and doctors were attentive and caring. I was informed about details of the surgery by phone while waiting in the family room and offered coffee. 😊😊😊😊 (2 months ago)

2 of our 3 children were born here. Our doctor was not a staff physician, but the nursing staff was great both times. The facility wasn't exactly perfect, (had a leaky faucet in our recovery room, for instance) but overall it was a good experience. The free parking is also nice. Don't expect much in terms of walkable amenities. The cafeteria is kinda lousy, which makes walking to get food an appealing idea for a visitor, but not a great idea. Be aware before you head east, about the safety of the area. Austin Blvd is the dividing line between Chicago and Oak Park, so the police presence and effectiveness drops off sharply from one side of this road, to the next. (2 months ago)

Seriously all the reviews on here are not being addressed with staff. It's not enough to hire someone to respond to comments on social media and not put policies in place for change. I was given a radiology appointment on memorial day that was canceled or not put in the system. I asked the front desk lady where was the radiology department and she LITERALLY kept gossiping to the security guard like I wasn't standing there. She then had the nerve to catch an attitude when I interrupted her conversation. She should not have a job, period. However the ER personnel turned the situation around and was very informative and helpful. However that rude front desk lady was the first point of contact, trust me you don't want her there. This hospital is horrible. They had a fire the other day, moved my brother in law to another room, did not put his railings up and he fell out of the bed, no report was done he's black and blue on his back hip, thank God they finaafi transferred him to the VA hospital (a week ago)

The staff of nurses and techs are fabulous. They care about their patients. Day surgery rocks and the Radiography dept are on point. I have had multiple encounters with the doctors and their some mds are stars like Dr. Ann and her husband Dr. Speismann are terrific. There are some doctors who do try to force their believes upon you and your care but it is up to the patient to decide. Con: Never visit as a walk-in to the ER allow the ambulance to bring you unless you are near death or are severely ill bc the ER wait is ridiculous. 2. There are some doctors who are not empathetic and empathy is important in this role. 3. I would not suggest this facility to visit a specialist nope stick to the larger hospitals 4. Not a trauma hospital (2 months ago)
