If I could give negatives as a review in stars I absolutely would! I went in because my doctor had switched my meds to a different kind and I was having some kind of reaction to it. The secretary at the front desk in E.R. was very kind, and saw right away the hives and red blotches all over me. I explained to her that I felt like I couldn't take deep enough breaths and that I was feeling kind of sick. She asked if I was in contact with anything I was allergic to, and I told her about the meds being switched. She said I looked like I was having a reaction, let her know if my breathing got worse and so forth. So far so good. Well, an hour and a half later they take me back, and the first nurse I saw was awful. I didn't catch her name, but she insisted that the hives and blotches were simply sunburn and scratches. She took my blood pressure, which was a little low, but she had no concern for that what so ever. I was getting frustrated because I'm itching like crazy, and have lovely burning hives all over me and "she can't see it." So, she leaves my room and pulls the curtain, and I can hear her talking with the other nurses saying "she's such a liar there isn't a thing wrong with her. Why do people like that waste our time." and a few mumbles that I couldn't catch. Which, in my opinion was extremely unprofessional. I could understand if I went in asking for drugs or something but it wasn't like that! I just wanted to know what was going on with my body! Anyways, 25 minutes later another nurse comes in and asks if Im having any breathing problems and asks me to point out the areas that were affected; I told her I felt like I couldn't take deep enough breaths, and showed her my arms, legs, chest, back & neck. She says "Okay let me see what we can do to get you out of here." Doesn't check me or anything, and leaves. A male nurse comes in 10 minutes later, hands me a prescription for steroids, tells me it's a mild rash, and that we can go. I was kind of in awe at the whole situation because they didn't give a damn about what was going on and treated me like I was nothing but a bother to them. I will NEVER go to this hospital again. I don't care if I'm dying and it's the only hospital open within 100 miles, I will not go back. I see that my visit was a bit more pleasant compared to some others due to reviews. I was treated with zero respect. The lack of competence at this hospital along with the unprofessional nurse's is just appalling. I don't understand how you can be in a position to help people and treat them with such arrogance. Do yourself a favor and just go to another hospital. (in the last week)

I went to the ER at WHS Greene with abdominal pain.. I knew I had the symptoms of appendicitis so I wanted to go in and get it ruled out. Everyone was so nice and took great care of me while I was there. They were able to confirm that I had appendicitis and transfer me to Washington for my surgery. But I was very impressed during my time there. WHS Greene is so important to our local area by being the only hospital in Greene County and one of the largest employers in the county. We rely on this hospital to provide care for those who can't go anywhere else and to put money into the pocket of those who work there. Thank you. It's not a level 1 trauma center and never will be. But it's a resource and an asset all the same. (3 months ago)

The staff and nurses as well as the nurse/practitioner did a very good job and my wait was very short. I am satisfied with the work that was preformed. (8 months ago)

THIS HOSPITAL HAS BECOME A JOKE! There was a time when Waynesburg had become a good hospital, however it's went down hill fast. I refuse to ever return to that hospital again. What happened with them, and one of the doctors offices branched from them, has forever scarred me. Only go to Washington Health Systems: Greene as a last resort. (11 months ago)

My experience with the hospital staff was very positive. Nurses, Doctors and the rest of the staff almost never get to experience folks at their best...yet they move professionally from one negative encounter to the next...voluntarily. I had an EKG, a stress test, and a thousand or so blood draws (estimate, don't hold me to it). Everyone was very positive and kind, and I appreciate that very much. Often, folks think the hospital is simply trying to squeeze every possible revenue stream from us...when they are doing "due diligence". If you are like me, and I hope you aren't, you neglect medical care until it's urgent. Don't. Thanks to everyone on the 3rd floor for putting up with me. (a year ago)
