HORRIBLE! I got screwed with how much they charged me for the services they provided. When people are at their most vulnerable point, an organization like this place gouges you and your wallet. There president makes over one million dollars. There doctors make over one million dollars. People like you and me who are living pay check to pay check, end up paying triple the amount for health care. Is this fair? Is this right? Do you compare prices when you shop at City Market, target or Walmart? Then do it before going to this place! If I could give them a 1/2 star, I would, but google won't let me. (4 weeks ago)

I had a horrible experience here at this hospital. I injured my hand at work and Dr. Grillot "fixed it", but it never really got better. A friend told me that I should see a hand therapist and my hand therapist, shawn told me Dr Grillot was a "country-bumpkin surgeon" and that I needed to go to Dr Viola in Vail. Dr. Viola fixed my hand and I am back to work and back to hunting. Yes, shawn pointed me in the right direction, but what type of organization in VVH that their own employees tell patients to go elsewhere for surgery. I saw that as a red flag and therefore never went back nor will I ever go back to that hospital. Vail was excellent and they believe in their doctors, they believe in their therapists, they believe in their nurses and the employees are happy.... they are not shutting the door, to reveal secrets of the organization in which they are employed. The hospital is nice and most departments except the ER who lets their personal feelings and judgements influence their patient care. Went there after a car accident Dr. Perry only ordered neck x-rays for an auto accident in which i rolled my vehicle. I walked around for two months with additional compression fractures in my t-spine in which one vertebrae was shattered went to my regular doctor office of Mountain Valley and told them as well that I couldn’t cough, laugh or lay in my sides. All they were concerned about was not giving me pain meds instead actually examining me to see if maybe something was wrong. Finally went to Dr. Eicher in New Castle, he actually put his hands on me and sent me for additional x-rays and found the additional fractures and sent me to the spine doctor etc. Very cold hearted there. Just received a bill for my little girls birth , which is very normal I understand. My daughter just had her 2nd birthday! Apparently they added to the bill last month after a review. 2 years have gone by! The staff and doctors have always been great but we are going elsewhere from now on. Could you imagine you leave the grocery store then they call you 2 years later because " we reviewed what you paid for lettuce, here is your new bill". Unbelievable and highly unprofessional. Poor rehab department! I was bumped from therapist to therapist and its a roll of the dice of what I heard about my condition. Conversations and connections and trust between patient and therapist is absent. Nobody answers the phone when you call the department. I decided to go elsewhere and am happy I did so and learned that the best treatment for low back pain is to exercise and get strong. If you want hot packs and chatting with a different therapist every visit and offers for coffee/tea, then by all means go to VVH Rehab. If you want treatment and want to return to your job/skiing/cross fit, GO ELSEWHERE! (3 months ago)
