In 2017 mom and dad were treated here for various conditions. I can't tell you how welcoming this hospital feels from the time you come in. Doctors, Nurses, Nurses Assistant are on top of everything, caring for you, making you feel comfortable, safe, and watching over you 24 hours a day! Mom was here for two weeks, and her treatment by the staff exceeded our expectations, they treated her like a queen. I am very grateful with this hospital for their excellent hospitality. In addition to the excellence, their nutritious meals are rather better than other hospitals. Many hospitals are known to have horrible food, but this one is very good in their meals. Their cafeteria has a little bit of everything. Their cheese burgers and fries are delicious...I used to love having a burger during my stay. Cafeteria staf are friendly. They also have microwave, and all utensils needed available. (4 months ago)

PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT BECAUSE MY FAMILY IS NOW IN A DEEP DEPRESSION AND STRUGGLING BECAUSE OF THIS TERRIBLE HOSPITAL!/ We went to this hospital because the 24 hour clinic sent us here so they could attend my great grandmother. She got worse being here. Some nurses are actually nice, but dont let it fool you because they just enter the room to sign a paper that they "did their job". They do things to protect themselves from HIPPAA, but not actually do the work which is to care for my grandmother. The Doctors would tell me to shut up when i wanted to ask a question. I was yelled at by doctors and they would disrespect me and my family in every shape and form. The Doctors i will say arent real doctors. They treat you like a game and the life of the paitent by diagnosing them many things that arent there and then changing the diagnosis every day to fit their fancy. The doctors lie completely and they just want to get rid of my great grandmother.. i even hear one of our doctors say ," that was an easy hospice paitent to get rid of." They are just letting my great grandmother rot while i know as a nurse with 4 titles and a pediatrician in training that she NEEDS medical help. NEVER bring your family members or yourself here unless you want to be dead. Our taxes are being invested in these places. Im so full of hate and rage, i hope this place gets exposed and shuts down COMPLETELY! If i could give this hospital 0 to negative stars i would! (in the last week)

Rude doctor's don't know what the hell they're doing staff including nurses talking to each other about they're life while we were in the emaergency room. We asked for the doctor in charge staff said he's not here. Even 1 star is too much for these idiots. Complete waste of time. Go to St. Joseph Holly Cross a bit of a longer drive but well worth it. From the front door to the room service all the staff it’s wonderful, I never see a hospital with these high standard patients care. The nurses are so kind and care about every aspect helping the patient and the family. (2 months ago)

i was born here 18 years ago. my mom tells me the doctor was pretty nice and that she was treated good. i want to go back to van nuys and see the place where i spent my first days. (2 months ago)
