I'm trying to get into this place and live an hour away so hoping that if I bring my clothes & stuff they'll accept me. I'm an alcoholic (beer) and really need a place who people are serious about their sobriety. Hoping that it's not about court ordered people who are "just doing their time." Had to rate it but have never been there yet. Sorry, I didn't get back to my review on Valley Forge. I did get accepted and the girl on the phone told me what to do and what to bring. I had a good experience there getting detoxed and am sober now for 7 weeks! (3 months ago)

I thought it was ok. But when it was time to leave detox, they only advocated for themselves for rehab. I'm handicapped and they don't have an elevator. They forcefully evicted me from the facility and left me on the street in center City near a hospital. They are bastards. DO NOT GO HERE! My counselors name was Ms Ramos. She did NOTHING to help me. Social worker did NOTHING to help me. I SO WISH I went somewhere else. 11-14-2017 (8 months ago)

Entered Valley Forge Hospital 36 years ago today (July 18,1981) and today I celebrate 36 years of continuous sobriety. The staff at the time taught me to listen, learn and examine my motives. I was a horrible patient but they got through in spite of myself. We started the Valley Forge Alumni Association (me, Linda McD. and and Curt C.) in 1981.The place has done a lot of good for a lot of people. Sobriety isn't for those who want it or even for those who need it. Sobriety is for those who are willing to do the work to earn it. Once we stop complaining and start doing the work, life gets better. May God continue to bless us all. (12 months ago)

Great place to go and get clean and sober. Yes you have to LISTEN AND LEARN however if you do you will find some of the best people in the business to help you. The staff really goes care about you even if you dont care about yourself. Nursing is amazing kitchen is great you will not regret your stay. You are worth it and so is this facility. They saved my life after a 30 year run let them help you!!!!!! (a year ago)
