I would not take someone here if you gave the money. The nurses barely come in and half the time you cannot find them. You don't get answers. And we have nearly 2 days left with our terminally ill sister and we have been waiting on an ambulance that seems to be taking it's good old time taking her home! ONE DAY LOST with our sister. Never been more disappointed in a hospital. (3 months ago)

The emergency room is the worse!! I got there at 3:50 and didn’t get triaged until 5. And still had to wait almost two hours to get called back. I asked one of the nurses what was the hold up. They’re response was that they were extremely busy. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to Mercy Hospital for an emergency!! Especially if you’re really sick. I wouldn’t go back to that hospital if I was on my death bed!!! (a month ago)

Everyone had a pleasant demeanor but everyone outside of the rehabilitation staff was lackadaisical and wrote off serious medical concerns. My father ended up half blind because they minimized his complaints and ignored him when he told them about vision problems. In addition, they allowed him to go for weeks without his oral cancer medication. Coordination of care within the UPMC system is terrifically poor and my father's doctors didn't even know that he was having headaches despite my father complaining of them and the headaches being recorded in his file. UPMC: Death By Bureaucracy. (a month ago)

In the multiple visits here, I haven't met a single person with a negative attitude. From doctors down, everyone is compassionate and caring. The cafeteria leaves allot to be desired though. (2 months ago)

Hats off the the 7th floor Step Down Neuro Unit who took excellent care of my mom last month. Everyone involved in her care from nurses, PCT's, housekeeping, dietary etc did and exceptional job!!! (a month ago)
