The wait time for this Emergency room is terrible. I walked in with shortness of breath and a heavy chest they did a EKG and took blood and sent me to wait in the waiting room. 5 hours later with no doctor or nurse saying anything to me I left. Just this Monday by Brother in Law was sent there with a very bad swelled foot and leg. He his recovering from Brain surgery and radiation treatments. The doctors from Hopkins told him to get to the emergency room fearing he has a blood clot. They did a ultrasound of his leg and sent him to the waiting room. 5 hours later my sister ask how much more time they had to wait and she was told approx. 6 more hours. These issues are not common colds and could be life threatening . At least have someone come to the waiting room and tell you your results, you don't need a bed for that. Oh and did I say I pay $1,500.00 a mouth for my Health Insurance. (a week ago)

Brought my pregnant wife in at about 10pm, got her checked in then proceeded to wait. After about 30 minutes they called her into the side room to get vitals from the nurse. They put a port in her arm then sent us out to the waiting room. It is currently 3am and we still have five people ahead of us from what the nurse said. I would recommend if anyone has a medical emergency that they drive the extra 15-20 minutes to the next ER. (2 weeks ago)

Do not go here if you have any say in the matter. You will get random bills for the next year from random doctors who are all out of network despite the hospital being in network (how does that work?!) TVs in the waiting room also play the raunchiest shows for your children to enjoy. (in the last week)

Drove boyfriend to this facility since it was the closest to his home. We arrived at 1:30 am and did not get taken in for triage until about 3:30 am. Throughout this entire wait, the waiting area was being prepped for renovation, carpet was being torn out and there was drilling noise! Imagine being sick and having to sit through that! We were then asked to wait again, this time inside so that at least the construction noise was somewhat muffled. The only chair available was if front of the toilet and on the empty chair next to it was what looked like a dirty used paper gown. That chair never got cleaned throughout our wait. We did not receive a bed until about 6:30 am, and an actual doctor only saw us 1 hour after. Nurses and doctor were sufficiently caring and attentive BUT the wait time was ridiculous. This should have been informed to us at check in. If we had known the wait time would reach 6 hours, I would have driven to another hospital. Would not recommend if you are here for emergency service! Or at least ask what the estimated wait time will be! (a month ago)

Dr Elizabeth A. Fronc makes Baltimore Washington Medical Center's pediatric department one of the best pediatric facilities in Maryland. She treats every patient with compassion and a genuine caring attitude that gives you a personal experience that few medical providers can offer. I would switch pediatricians if she had her own practice. (a month ago)
