I got better medical care in a rural hospital in Jamaica in 1990 than I got at Banner U. America is becoming a third world country. Very, very sad. I just called the ER to see how long the wait would be. I got some kind of recording and then was cut off. I have been sick for days due to the heat. I don't know what else to do. I hope I die tonight. I know Banner University Medical Center can't help me, unless I have a lot of money. (a month ago)

On May 15 I visited a Nurse Practitioner for Neuropathy pain. The visit took approximately 15 minutes and the diagnosis was "No cure come back in 6 months". My insurance company was billed $203.00 by the NP and then a separate bill for $70.00 from Banner itself. They could not tell me the reason for the extra bill and told me to call my insurance company. If they wrote the bill why can't they explain the reason. Seems to me that's their standard price for walking in the door! Since Banner took over UMC it has gone straight down hill. Goodbye Banner! (a month ago)

I had a heart transplant on March 25, 2018 and could not be more pleased with the ENTIRE STAFF. From the transportation people to Thoracic Surgeons who did the transplant. The nurses are the best anywhere. I have cardio rehab twice a week at the hospital I also have a right heart catherization with a heart biopsy bi-weekly. This truly is a great hospital in my opinion. They have gone above and beyond what I expected. They saved my life and many, many other lives on a daily basis. (3 weeks ago)

My 87 year old dad has been in the hospital for seven days and we could not be more pleased with the level of service and professionalism. The surgery went well and the after care has been phenomenal. The nurses are friendly, thorough, responsive and caring. We have since heard from other doctors that if they end up as a patient in any Tucson area hospital, they would demand Banner. (3 months ago)

as a disabled physician i can tell you the help at this institution is horrible.i was told by a physician who is the head of the residency program that i cannot praise a resident.when i did not get a needed lab result for two weeks and called was chided for saying was frustrated and then hung up on. i had an appointment canceled at physical therapy without authorization. this is an incompetently run place ,and the current administration should be fired.the why simian who ordered me not to compliment a resident needs a mental health consult (in the last week)
