These ER responses surprise me.I was in Meriter ER 3 years ago with a torn Patelar tendon. Dr diagnosed exact problem, no waiting, nurses great, didn't stay for a meal. They set up for surgery which went very well. In again last August for a gran mal seizure, same Dr! who remembered me! He again was very professional, nurses were also, everyone took my circumstance and my ER admission seriously and professionally. Brought my wife there 2 years ago with a serious attack of Vertigo, same excellent care. I'd recommend Meriter ER and Meriter inpatient to anyone in Madison. Tom H (in the last week)

I was forced to take genetic counseling which costs $380 ONLY FOR 30 MINS which really was not worth. Seems this overpriced counseling is required to take NIPT at this hospital, which I hear from others not necessary at all or not at this ridiculous price. Before I took it they said my insurance will cover as it was medically necessary but it wasn't so I kept receiving the bills. I kept calling bill department, the related offices, but not helpful, even was hung up during the wait. Definitely the worst medical experience I've encountered. Heads-up for those who are to take genetic counseling here for the price. To make that horrible experience with the prenatal visit, Meriter birthing center experience was good. Staffs were nice, food was decent. That's the only reason this review gets 3 stars instead of 1. (a week ago)

Went in in the aftermath of getting slammed into a tree while pushing company car from ditch. Doctors seemed more concerned with my high blood pressure than the fact that it literally hurt me to walk. Wasted 3 hours of my time on a bunch of blood work and an X-Ray where they informed me no bones were broken and all my tests were fine. They prescribed me no pain meds to deal with my knee, told me to schedule an appointment with a clinic whose next opening is the 27th, and didn't even sign me an excuse to not have to work until then. Not pleased at all. (a month ago)

The nurse Melissa Hyman called the police and made up the fact a story in which threatened the clinic staff. I have 4 officers arrive at my house with two weapons drawn. I could have died. I implore you, if you have mental health issues to stay away. She did this because during I called during a panic attack. She kept saying things that were making me anxious about how it sounds like i need an ambulance for my panic attack. I asked her to stop talking and she started being louder and more direct about how she was about to call the cops. I called her a dumbass to shut her up because I needed a break from her stressing me out. She called the cops. The cops when they were leaving told me they thought the call was unwarranted. I called the clinic to complain and they told me i was a liar and kicked me out for good. (4 months ago)
