1. BAD ...How is it possible to not have a doctor on duty in the ER on a holiday weekend? Someone please take control of administration. No doctor? They have no doctors at Dunkin Donuts, too. What is happening? 2. EXCELLENT ...On the other hand. 18 months ago the wonderful surgical staff saved my husband's life after a burst appendix and nine days of care. We are forever grateful for his excellent care. (a month ago)

The best hospital in North Georgia. The professional, knowledgeable, and confidant staff is outstanding. They delivered my two children and saved my father's life. Union General hospital has went above and beyond every time. (in the last week)

Been there twice this year and both times terrible experiences. Will never go back and will not recommend anyone else going. I rate them a big fat ZERO. it was a much better hospital when the drug dealers running it (in the last week)

We are currently in the ER. After being told there is no pain medicine she can have for a broken wrist because she is pregnant I had to call her Dr and let them talk to the hospital. My wife has “nasty fracture” in her wrist. It’s friday night and they are telling us that she has to wait until Monday to follow up with an orthopedic specialists. They have one on call but won’t call him/her in unless “the bone were protruding out of the skin.” This place is a joke and would have driven her home had I known this was going to happen. Stay away. Go somewhere else. Horrible ER. (in the last week)

After a recent ER visit with my child, I told two nurses and the doctor that I felt it was my daughter's gallbladder making her sick. All three told me she was too young. They did a contrast CT, a ton of blood work and an x-ray and told me it was the onset of bronchitis causing her extreme pain and sent us home with an antibiotic. I immediately called her doctor the next morning and begged them to get her tests and tell me what's really causing her pain. Dr. Thompson immediately ordered a gallbladder scan. That was sadly a few days out at Union General. Results come back.....it's her gallbladder. Now, all that time wasted, EIGHT hours on the hospital, they hurt both her arms to draw blood, tests she didn't need, all because they assumed my daughter was too young! Now, we will be closer to school starting up and a surgery my daughter could of had 10 days ago! I'll never take my daughter here again unless it's life threatening. I will drive to CHOA at 2am before I ever give another dime to this hospital! Also, we heard everyone's private information. HIPPA is a joke here in the ER. I was made aware (loud employees) of the lady next doors possible miscarriage, UTI infections, one nurse commented in the hall, all her rooms on one side were all head cases for that night. I could go on and on. This is not our first visit to ER where we've heard everyone's business. If you're unlucky enough to get the tiny rooms too small to shut the doors, you get to hear all the ER rooms's business. It makes us all so uncomfortable! Not to mention, it robs people of their privacy. (in the last week)
