Location and Directions

This was one of the few times that, while I needed to be there for my wife at the time, was a surprisingly smooth and FAST visit. My wife was checked on, blood work, exams, saw the doctor and released. The time between each step was only 15-30 minutes. The nurse was exceptionally courteous and exceedingly helpful. This has been my first choice for a hospital and emergency room for over 20 years and I wouldn't change that for anything. (a week ago)

My brother was sent here from Greenview hospital because he doctor. Some stupid German or the like try to tell me he would be better. Greenview used up what Medicaid they could get and all the docs there got a but load of money from the government. And so the stupid doc chased my wife and I out the door to recommend him coming here. I was visiting out of state. I have no control over his matters. Bit hid daughter who does decided to listen to this doctor who asked me why I was getting do excited after telling me he would not get no better and this place would be better for long term care. Well I researched it. About 35'40 days is what they consider long term care. Again they ate milking his Medicaid to get what they can before the time is up. All he does is lay in bed and moan and cannot talk. He cannot answer you or even recognize that you are there. Trying to find this place and find the elevators is ridiculous too. Inside no from desk. No large or recognizable signs to point you where to go. And my goodness. If you ask someone where to go that actually works there. They need a training course on niceness. I hope I never have to come here. I wish I had the money to take him some place else. But never bring a love one or anyone here who needs medical treatment. This place is old, dirty, and just disgusting in every way possible. (3 weeks ago)

Most of the experiences I have had at The Medical Center, concerning my health have been very good. The 2 experiences at the ER have been below average. I have encountered rude nurses and one doctor who ordered an MRI and left the hospital without reading the results. I had the MRI and was back in my room around 9...9:30 I believe. Time went by and at 12:30 am I called the front desk and asked if they had forgotten me. They had forgotten me. As I was crutching across the parking lot in pain I was summoned back and a very kind Dr. Spurlin took me to a room and explained how many ligaments were torn in my knee. The first doctor I saw just wanted to give me pain meds and have her nurse , who was extremely rude, give me the prescription and explain RICE to me. I understand how difficult and frustrating must be to work in the ER. I also understand that when people are in pain a little compassion must be shown. I don't appreciate being shouted at by a nurse who was probably half my age. (in the last week)

Wish I can give a 0 stars. My mother having a heart troubles and the staff is watching their phones. Not the first time they was jerks to her. She had a heart attack before. (in the last week)

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star but I have to for a review. I had a car accident (hit by a semi) and was sent by ambulance there. I couldn't move my thumb or arm & hit my head. They did an xray & ct scan. They handed me papers & said well nothing is broke you can go. They wouldn't even give me Ibuprofen or any meds for that matter. I flew home & went to the hospital, they said I suffered a concussion & could possibly need hand surgery. They asked me if the other hospital did the same test I told them yes & they said I was fine. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT! (2 months ago)
