Professional | Caring The Hospital receiving team was quick, efficient and effective. After getting the assessment from emergency response they put in the IV and gave me morphine to control the pain. By 7pm I was in the catheter lab. Dr. Waller and his amazing team were highly effective and congenial. Within minutes, the stent was in and I was finally free of pain. The next couple of days felt like I was in a resort. The rooms and hallways were beautifully designed with recessed and diffused lighting, room had a large flat screen, wonderful sound with built-in speakers. I played a "nature sound" channel that was stunning and relaxing. The menu was delicious, complete and heart healthy. The day and night shift nurses and techs, all were very kind and amazingly responsive (Alex / Stephanie on the 3rd floor, the best). Not one person seemed to be misplaced or unwilling to do their job. Even the on-site pharmacy, which was on the other side of the campus, bought my prescriptions to me! All in all, their hard work and determination made a very difficult situation very livable, even enjoyable. Not only am I happy for them saving my life, but doing it with professionalism and kindness. (a month ago)

I went to this ER on Sunday with chest pain, dizziness and blood pressure all over the place for the previous 3 days. The nursing and tech were friendly and personable. The Dr was very pleasant, BUT did not address any of the issues I was having. My ECG showed I was not in heart distress. My blood work was very dehydrated. He requested an IV drip and said that would fix everything. He decided I must have a pulled chest muscle and to drink pineapple juice for the dehydration. Said all the tests were clear, but the nurse told me on checkout that my kidney creatin was high. He never addressed the blood pressure, dizziness or pain (other than deciding that was a pulled muscle). I left there with all the same symptoms I came in with and told pineapple juice was the cure all. I did not get any paperwork with test results for a follow up with my physician. I drove an hour and a half for a specialty hospital and was very disappointed $3k later to leave feeling exactly as I did when I went there; with none of the actual issues addressed. (3 weeks ago)

My father had to have a very serious multiple step open heart procedure. The attentive, informative and caring staff went above and beyond making our family feel comfortable and informed at every stage of the process. I don't know anyone who enjoys being in a hospital waiting for a family member go thru such a scary operation but the wonderful people who work here make that experience as pleaseant as you could ever hope for. Thank you again for all your hard work, dedication and compassion. (2 weeks ago)

Both times that my father was admitted here we had the most exceptional experience, considering the circumstances. Everyone we encountered from the ER doctors to the nurses down to the volunteers had a smile on their faces and we so kind. Two of my dads nurses were just so amazing! Cat on the 5th floor and Raquel the PT nurse. I also love the fact that there were several volunteers who have went through bypass surgery that were sent to talk to us about what to expect. Thank you Heart hospital for having such an amazing team!! (5 months ago)
