I went in for a d&c after my miscarriage on the 30th. The surgery was fine, the nurse tried to start an IV in my hand after I told her that no one has ever been able to successfully use my hands, I even told her what arm/location would be successful. She couldn't get it started and I'm still bruised on my hand 5 days later. Everything else that day was fine. Fantastic anesthesiologists! My throat was barely even sore! BUT I started bleeding heavily 4 days later and went into the ER. The wait was ridiculous. The ER doc and the nurses were fine. Then they admitted me to the women's center. The overnight nurse was fine. The next day after the doctor released me it took 2.5 hours for the nurse to finish my paperwork. I was furious! The last time I was in the hospital overnight was to have my son in a different hospital and the discharge wasn't half that amount of time and I was leaving with a baby so everything was checked and checked again! My first visit to this hospital was a 4 out of 5 because of the nurse not listening to me when I told her to use my arm. The second visit was a 1 out of 5 just because of the terrible wait times. I'd have surgery here again but only if I wasn't staying overnight. (3 months ago)

I am personally not sure of why so many bad reviews, but we had a very positive experience. My mother had to come here through ER numerous times for the past several years and we always were well received and well taken care off. Nurses and doctors were always kind and fast, administration and registration teams were always friendly and prompt to help. And from from my whole family thank you Tenova team in Cleveland TN for saving our moms life. (3 months ago)

After reading all the negative reviews on Tennova, I was very apprehensive when my wife was scheduled for a Stress Echocardiography at their Cardiac Center. It was done by caring, professional people, who stopped the test early when she began experiencing distress. The situation they found warranted a quick call to her Cardiologist, Dr. Hady Lichaa. By then my wife was headed for the parking lot and one of the technicians chased her down to say that Dr. Lichaa wanted to see her immediately. She then went to his office in the medical building next door. By then Dr. Lichaa had received the results of the stress test and he scheduled her for a Cardiac Catheterization the next day, with the possibility of inserting a stent. All of the pre-op iinstructions were clear. The procedure was to be done the following afternoon. That next day I drove her to Tennova and waited with her as she was being prepped in the Cardiac Center. The staff there was as friendly and nice, as well as professional, as any could be, and they did everything possible to make us comfortable. Appropriate jokes, laughter, and conversation lowered our stress levels considerably. Then she was wheeled to the Cardiac Catheterization room for the procedure. I stayed in the waiting area until Dr. Lichaa came out and said that everything went well; there was a blockage that he was able to remove without needing a stent. It took some time before she could be released to a room on the 4th floor. The nurses and staff on that floor were both nice and considerate, occasionally checking to see when she would be brought up. She finally made it, accompanied by several of those who assisted with the procedure. She was swarmed by nurses who explained what they were doing and why. She stayed overnight and said the food and care were fine. The next day I brought her home and she told of events during the procedure. She was conscious during the whole thing and she said the staff could have done stand-up comedy, which definitely took her mind off of the seriousness of the procedure. All of this was done in a good way, not an indifferent way. So, I’m giving Tennova five stars because of the way we were made to feel that my wife was in good hands, as she must have been. I had to go in for a CT scan. Before hand I was not informed of any money due up front at all. When I got there they informed me I needed $357 before they could do the scan even with my insurance. I wasnt able to go forward with my scan at that time and had to re schedule for months later. Finally I had the cash to get it done. I went in and paid what they told me. I kept my reciept which was a smart move. I called my insurance a few weeks later to check the claim. They told me I had no deductible and I was only supposed to pay $35 out of pocket for my scan. TenNova took full advantage of me and set my medical care back months over a lump in my neck that continued to grow and became attached to main blood vessels and all. My insurance was able to reach out to TenNova and have me fully reimbursed however, had i not caught it they would have pocketed my money no doubt. The lump that needed removed sat there for 6 more months due to not having the funds to proceed with care as a result I had a life threatening complicaton during surgery from the time the lump was left. TenNova is fully to blame. Do not go here for anything. They will rip u off!! (a month ago)

I wish I could mark 0 stars.. sitting there for 2 hours with bleeding from a c section incision and not one person looked at it to even see how bad or not it was. I ended up leaving I should’ve known better cause every time I have to go to this hospital it’s never a good experience!! (5 months ago)
