Location and Directions

I arrived at 3:30 pm with complaints of severe abdominal pain at 18 weeks pregnant. I have never been here before but came because I heard good things. I am obviously worried sick about my baby and the pain I'm in being the possible beginning of a miscarriage. However, according to them because I am not bleeding it is not a priority. It is now 11:25 pm. I have not been seen and am still in pain with no update on how my baby is doing. This is the worst experience I have ever had as a first time mom and my baby nor myself will not be coming here again. I was scheduled to birth here but now that will not be happening. My baby and I should be a bigger priority than that as I've seen people come in and out for hours who may not be losing a child and their injuries could wait. I am disgusted here and even tried to speak to a charge nurse. All she said was "it's been a bad night." If she couldn't tell through my tears that it's been a worse night for me and my first child then she should not be a nurse. I understand this is a hard job but my baby is MY biggest priorities and I should feel like they are to the hospital I'm trusting the care of my child too. Which is not the case. I will never be back here and if something is wrong with my baby or something more could have been done but was ignored due to their negligence I will pursue this further. I am disappointed. This is the born again Christian of hospitals. Avoid at all costs! Overcharging clients behind the back of their insurance company. Tons of nasty, rude staff. Incompetence of the highest degree. The only person that wasn't a complete waste of oxygen was the actual surgeon Dr Sucandy who was extremely nice and compassionate but is only in the office Monday and Friday....which is not adequate if a patient has an emergency after surgery. Live on the east coast of fla doctors and hospital here have cause this to happen to my daughter. Before I travel this far just want others who know this place to give me their thought good an bad. We have been through very bad doctors here an my daughter is the one that could die from this (2 weeks ago)

My husband was in Tampa General for bypass surgery early in 2018. The surgery was excellent as was the cardiac ICU but when he stepped down to the next level of care it was abysmal. It took forever to get medications, to get PT, to get respiratory therapy, even to get someone to come help him to the bathroom. Since you have to recover in this hospital I cannot recommend that you have any procedures done there. Either they are understaffed or their people aren't on top of things the way they should be. I had my daughter here back in 2016 and I had an amazing experience my doctor was amazing and so were my nurses! My room was alittle tight but I think they were renovating around that time. I recommend all mommies to go here! (a month ago)
