If you care about your loved one... go to another hospital. This hospital looks great on the outside. The lobby is great and so is the ER but if you get admitted the rooms are horrible. The rooms are so outdated and look like they haven't been cleaned in years. Our poor Dad had to stay in a room with another patient and had to share a bathroom with 3 other patients. There are no showers and the double rooms share bathrooms. How can a hospital allow this? The bathroom wasn't cleaned ONCE during our Dads stay. So several sick patients are using the same bathroom. They claim the patient sharing a room with him isn't sick but has been coughing the entire time, swearing, and causing such a disturbance. How can anyone get better in a place like this? For the most part the nurses were okay. Except a few who wanted to argue with us and act like doctors. We had to complain several times during our Dads stay. Please, don't take your family members here. Go elsewhere! (4 months ago)

I wish I could give 0 stars, honestly. The issues I have had with this hospital are far too many (and too personal) to type out all in one review, but I’ll try to explain a little. I had an appendectomy here that my body reacted awfully too. When I went back to the hospital to get my surgeon’s name and some info in hopes of figuring out my complications, the staff got extremely defensive as if I was accusing them of messing up my surgery instead of just looking for some help to understand why my body was reacting the way it has been. I have never in my life been treated so poorly by medical professionals and I will never step foot in this hospital again. They refused to give me my own lab work (the 4 staff members I asked about it all avoided the question and acted very sketchy about it), a nurse brought me medication that I am severely allergic too (that info was in my charts) and was mad at me when I told him I wouldn’t be able to take it, and I had a triage nurse laugh at me and then tell me I shouldn’t be in the ER (um, where else do I go for appendicitis). When I was in my ER room, another nurse told my boyfriend to hit some buttons for her on one of the machines hooked up to me, which we both thought was so unprofessional. There are multiple other problems I’ve had over the past couple months of dealing with this hospital, and it has gotten to the point that I have a family member helping me with legal action. I am so thankful that pretty soon I will never have to deal with Edmonds Swedish again, because this place has been hell for me. By the way, the complications after my surgery that they couldn’t figure out over a span of 3 months, Virginia Mason helped me with in a matter of a couple hours. There, I was given kind treatment from the staff, the correct medication, and the referral I needed to continue gaining my health back. So if you’re in the area and need to go to a hospital, I would say to stay clear of Edmonds Swedish and head down to VM if possible. (2 months ago)

My sister-in-law gave birth here. The staff were caring and treatments for her were good. I also told someone here because she broke her arm. ER was amazing and she was taken care of. I really appreciate this hospital. (4 months ago)

This is the absolute worst and longest wait ever! My husband came in for chest pains. Not only did we sit and wait for over 5 hours. They tried to take his blood twice and didn’t have a clue what one nurse did previously! If it was me gettting treated I would go somewhere else. Never come here! This place is a JOKE as an ER! How is it that I can go to my doctor, get an X-ray and have the results waiting for my doctor befor I get back to the room, but this place takes 1 and 1/2 hours for an X-ray? Seriously?? Do not come here if you can help it! (2 months ago)

If I could give half a star I would. Lazy security guards mostly standing around chatting with each other and laughing. ED tirage nurse, burned out individual. ED charge male nurse needs compassion fatigue class badly. ER doctor finally after reading many notes about my loved one figured out what to do and she tried, although seemed clueless. House supervisor did not know a term ombudsman ( noun, an official appointment to investigate individual's complaints against maladministration, especially that of public authorities. You're welcome, especially that you don't have an access to google or a dictionary). Overall incompetent staff. (2 months ago)
