Small personalized hospital. I was only 1 of 2 patients in the facility, and I was very well taken care off. Staff is great. Rooms are roomy and was able to get plenty of rest. Facility was clean! (a year ago)

Great staff, everyone was super helpful and caring. (8 months ago)

Rugged. Downgrade from most other surgical hospitals. Welfare hospital and wouldn't send my dog here. My surgery was switched here last minute from Community Hospital. Received call on Friday at 3:20pm to advise me that I'm having surgery here on Monday instead of community where I feel comfortable. Had last 3 surgeries here. The pre-op was adamant about getting all other insurance information even after I advised her that the VA already had the pre-authorization and the Dr who was performing the surgery had the information. Told her I didn't want to have my surgery here and even advised my surgeon the same. Fast forward to Monday. I check into this place, feeling uncomfortable and looks like a make shift field hospital. And could tell this is the place where Medicare & Sooner Care patients go. When this woman comes out stating she needs my alternative insurance and Medicare number. I again advised her wasn't going to give this to her since the VA choice card was paying for services. At this time I'm really agitated by all this. Then I taken to this so-called pre-op room where you sit in a recliner and you could here the other nurses making calls to other future patients. The only thing that helped me relax was the my check-in nurse, my fiancé by my side, the surgeon nurse. My surgery was scheduled at 11:30am and I didn't have surgery until 2:45pm but that's not the hospital or staffs fault. I understand surgeons get tied up. After surgery one of the nurses asked me if I needed crutches after my right knee was cut open down the middle. Wow really nurse ..? No I didn't need nothing I'm okay really (sarcasm). Had to ask several times that get them crutches. On top of that i receive someone else's discharge papers. Unbelievable. I refuse to have any other procedures done at this facility. No better than the VA except some of the staff is better. (2 years ago)

My husband has had to have three surgeries in the last three years at Surgical Hospital. This place has always been so kind and patient with him when he was at his worst. The staff is great, the facilities are spotless, the food is always fresh. Round the clock you cannot get better care anywhere! (2 years ago)

my wife had to go to the hospital 3 times. she said the staff were all very sweet and kind. even though she had no insurance, they didn't treat her like a second rate person, as some facilities will do if you have no insurance. (3 years ago)
