They are very good with the patient's, and very hands on and great for helping a person with a stroke to learn how to walk and get the use of there hand back. (2 weeks ago)

This review is 100% based on the outpatient therapy portion of Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital. Everyone that works in the main office is very nice, friendly and organized, but the issue here is with the "physical therapists." POOL PHYSICAL THERAPY: Trina/Trinnie is one of the worst "physical therapists" that a patient could be stuck with. If you are assigned pool therapy, she will have you wasting your time in the pool for several weeks. She never gives you any exercises that help you feel better even if you are complaining after every session that your pain is the same or has gotten worse. She makes no real effort to help you improve your condition if what you're saying is not conducive to how she feels. What makes working with Trina/Trinnie worse is that you can tell her what your doctor has ordered you to do and she will completely ignore it. She has also said on many occasions that she's not even supposed to be working with patients in the pool and that she should be in the office. She makes zero effort to help patients get better through pool therapy. For weeks on end, she'll just have you walk around the pool and then all of a sudden your treatment is over. While she may appear to be a nice person, she is a terrible "physical therapist" and if she has a Doctorate of Therapy, it needs to be revoked. REEVALUATIONS AFTER "TREATMENT": Now, when it comes to reevaluation after weeks of poor treatment, the issue here is that the therapists are more concerned with numbers on paper being lower than how you as a patient are actually feeling. When Mary does reevaluations, she doesn't ask you about your pain, your pool therapy treatment, or how you feel your health is doing. She simply has you fill out a piece of paper with numbers relating to pain scenarios and if your numbers are even the slightest bit lower than what they were before you came in, she says you're healed and takes you out of the pool to be thrown on a land with an even poorer "physical therapist." There is never a conversation that happens where the "physical therapists" are receptive to what you as a patient are saying about your pain. LAND "PHYSICAL THERAPY": This is an absolutely joke mixed with nightmarish behavior and total disbelief. Jesse Byers, who actually has a Doctorate of Therapy, deserves to have his title and his degree completely dismantled, revoked and burned never to be use again by this man. While Jesse originally appeared to be helpful as a pool therapist, it is blatantly obvious that he is not capable of working with multiple patients at a time in the pool. He actually will assign exercises that cause pain to the areas that you say are bothering you. From telling you to do improper movements to forgetting why you're actually there, Jesse will not focus on the parts of your body that are actually injured. Unfortunately, he is even worse on land. Jesse Byers is more concerned with presenting a false image to your insurance company that you are getting better when in reality, the "treatment" (if you want to call it that) has actually made you worse. He will constantly remind you, "we've got to show the insurance company you are getting better" even if he just spent several minutes causing you more pain. Jesse completely ignores factual medical information provided in medically documented and signed reports in regards to your condition (MRI imagery and reports/doctor's orders). As nice as he may appear, he will completely dismiss everything that you are saying in regards to your health and your pain level. In fact, after Jesse dismisses your very valid, signed MRI report, imagery, and orders, he takes it a step further and starts applying tremendous amounts of pressure to areas that you cause you pain. Then, he actually has the audacity to tell you it's all in your head (in his words, "it's a mental thing") and that your pain is isn't actually happening as he continues to cause harm to your very real injuries. To top it off, he'll hand you his phone and tell you to play an app where you have to decide how people bend with their body. (4 months ago)

I was there because of an above the knee amputation I was on the 2nd floor and I did not meet anyone I didnt like! Everyone was very nice and helpful! Some push harder than others but all very nice! They became like my 2nd family in the month that I was there! (2 months ago)

They well worth going there.they treated my son n family with the ut most respect. They didn't have a problem with you wanting to learn the basics. All rehabilitation centers hospitals old folks homes have problems. So no matter where you go that's how you and your family acting show respect. The nurses the physical therapist the doctors are are t there to give care toto the person who needs it and I feel the everything that has to do with your family member should not be put off on the nurses the doctors is a physical therapist family and be there to help out like I was everyday learning new things and being with my child and making him happy cuz I was there and I'm still there. I recommend this place and they do a very well good job Sunnyview yes Sunnyview (3 months ago)
