I am shocked at all the low ratings and wonder if those reviewers have ever had the “fortune” of going to Barberton Citizen’s or Akron General. Every single stay family members and I have had at those two hospitals has resulted in things like infections, bed sores, TEN HOUR WAITS, super rude nurses that could care less. I was taken aback by Western Reserve. I had never heard of it (we are down in Green, close to Stark County) prior to a Cleveland Clinic/Akron General physician recommending a surgeon at this hospital. Every single person -from first contact in front of the main doors, to office personnel, lab staff, nurses - everyone was very helpful and upbeat. It seems to me that they are very particular about who they hire, as compared to the other local hospitals that seem to hire the rudest people available (man, so many awful nurses at the other hospitals that I wonder why they chose dealing with people/patients in the first place.). Someone mentioned to me that this hospital is privately owned by a group of physicians. I have not looked that up/verified that, but it certainly would make sense as to why service is better. Had a three month period of extended stays at another local hospital and what nasty roommates I encountered that would yell at doctors and nurses (boy, the “f-word was dropped continually by some )...was told these were patients on government aid and it was typical behavior. So a family member suggested that possibly Western Reserve is not forced to take on these patients, making the whole experience better for everyone. Edit to add: Yes! As another reviewer mentioned, the place is very clean. Other area hospitals- not so much - gross dirt all over. (a month ago)

A hospital is no ones favorite place, after being seen at western reserve tonight, I'm just floored how amazing and talented their staff is. They were so quick, efficient, knowledgeable and just friendly. They listened! Way to go guys! While I hope I don't need seen in the future, if I ever do, I won't hesitate to return. Thank you! Third shift not so great but first shift was awesome . The RN Cindy is absolutely wonderful and is so nice and professional. All around pretty good experience (a month ago)

I don't even know how they can even charge me for an ER visit. The doctor did NOT examine me at all. I went in because it hurt to breathe and I have a history of blood clots. They gave me a bag of fluids and the doc came in again and asked if my stomach was better. Then a few minutes later they sent me home. I could have died had it been a clot! (4 months ago)

DO NOT GO HERE! So unprofessional. They can’t even diagnose teared ligaments in an ankle. Pathetic. If I could give 0 stars I would. (2 months ago)
