We gave birth to our first child here. We were worried that they still used a nursery but they don't take the baby out of the room. The new rooms are very nice, but we had to change rooms 3 times during our 3 day visit. The doctors and the nursing staff are both very good. (3 weeks ago)

Friday afternoon my father comes to your ER in congestive heart failure. He needs a procedure that you do not do on weekends so you will be keeping him until Monday to do said procedure. I find in ridiculous that in a 24/7 world we live in your x-ray department is CLOSED on weekends? Really? So you can charge him 4 nights stay in the hospital? This is unethical and wrong on so many levels and the reason the health care industry is failing. Peoples lives are not an industry. Health care is about preserving humanity not making a buck. Disgusted with the greed hiding behind religion. Terrible. (a month ago)

My daughter went in on Monday morning with a broken leg, ankle and torn meniscus. She was treated well that day, but the doctor did not provide the right amount of medication and I have been put through the ringer with getting her help. I called and sat on the phone for over an hour with no assistance. I even asked for the supervisor above the charge nurse and no one would help. I know an ER is busy, but I would not have to call and call if she was helped and provided the correct medication to begin with. I used to like going to St. Vincent's, but everything is changing with them. So disappointed to know this is the only place the insurance will allow me to go. Very frustrating. (3 months ago)

I received terrible treatment when trying to make an appointment with St. Vincent’s Neurosurgery. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude, at one point even asking me where my VP shunt was placed and asking, “Can’t you go back there?” She then told me that she was getting my information to the doctor for review. A few hours later she calls me back to tell me the doctor declined to see me. Mind you, I called telling her that I think my VP shunt for my hydrocephalus is malfunctioning. I was told he will not treat me and I need to see the neurologist. I have had this shunt since 2007 and I have not once seen a neurologist for this, always a neurosurgeon. To decline to see a patient for a serious issue is beyond me. I was given an initial referral to neurology and they sent me to the neurosurgeon, which makes sense since neurosurgeons work with shunts. But now I’m beginning to think no one there knows what they are doing. I am appalled and am currently working to contact their Human Resources department. I will be going to Baptist hospital and their associated facilities from now on. (a month ago)

This hospital has saved my life. Literally. No place is perfect but this one is close to it. Their food boasts local and healthy options! And the doctors are so sincere and caring. (3 weeks ago)
