2.5 of the 3 stars are for the nurses. They are great.(like 85% of what's good about the place) Half a star for the rest of the medical services, good doctors and support staff. Missing a star for the horrendous food service. If you get admitted here, pack a lunch and get outside food brought in. Also no star for the administration that allows such chaos. On Friday morning when I called for a patient advocate, THE ENTIRE DEPARTMENT WAS GONE FOR THE HOLIDAY! No advocates until Tuesday morning. No wonder the workers can act a fool. (in the last week)

I wish I could've given zero stars. My newborn was either thrown or dropped on the floor. When I gave birth to my next child moments after she was born, someone tried to draw her blood with great difficulty. My baby seemed to me to be experiencing discomfort, I lightly tapped on the glass with one fingernail telling her to stop the procedure. On the day of discharge they contacted CPS and falsely accused me of being a drug addict and threatened to take my baby. "I HAVE NEVER USED ILLEGAL DRUGS!" My father hired me an attorney and the CPS worker said he know abuse when he hear it and my case was a difference of opinion. This was a case of MALICE, SLANDER, DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER AND, PURE EVIL. My father and two aunts died at this hospital under questionable circumstances. PLEASE, DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. (a month ago)

I have only used this facility for the maternity ward and outpatient lab but both experiences were amazing. Especially for the maternity ward. I am a St John's girl all the way and prefer this location to the macomb location any day. (2 weeks ago)

Thank you for your care of my daddy who was in comfort care. You were all amazing and true angels. God bless you. (2 weeks ago)

As I read other reviews, it seems that St. John Hospital is the place to stay away from. Unfortunately, EMS took my mother-in-law to ER at St. John hospital. She was suffering from severe stomach pain and ER did sufficient testing and cared for her, however when they kept her overnight she met the nurse from hell. My mother-in-law was impacted from other medication that she was taking. They kept her for observation, gave her an IV and 2 enemas. As her bowel began to move, she was told to stay in the bed and the nurse would bring her a bed pan. As it became busy on the floor, the nurse stopped the nurse's aide from helping my mother-in-law and told her to see another patient--while leaving my mother-in-law sitting in her own feces. See the photo below of my mother-in-law when I picked her up to be discharged. Speaking of being discharged, the nurse tried to send my mother-in-law home in a cab, rather than wait 30 minutes for us to pick her up. Once we established a time for us to pick her up, she told my mother-in-law to pack up because she is leaving by 4pm and not a minute later. This was on September 1, 2017. (3 months ago)
