Please care for your elderly loved ones by taking them elsewhere so their lives aren't at risk! This is a warning from observations noted as recurring over the past decade! This hospital says it's 'Top 100' but the evidence strongly suggests that either money or something else was exchanged to receive that rating! Sterile protocols not followed in the CCU, bodily fluid receptacles not removed from the room for 4 days, baths given in known drafts (risk of pneumonia), meds not updated (wrong med ordered that would have cost a life), patient history not taken that would have warned of known dangerous side effects to certain drugs, food that is anything but healthy (if it is food at all) and includes cheap ingredients with chemicals known to be carcinogenic, staff that speaks with degrading terms to patients, etc. (fill in the blanks). Please be your own advocate and watch everything that's done - they might know physiology but they don't know your loved one!!!!!!! (2 months ago)

The Emergency Room staff attended to me in a courteous professional manner. I found them to be competent and caring. I am pleased we have this great facility in the Red Bluff area. Thank you all for helping me. (3 months ago)

As for my experience, they took me back with in 20 minutes, diagnosed shingles right away, which 2 other health professionals in chico did not seem to know, took another hour to get in the back back, but once there great service, 2 nurses checked and double checked. Even called my oncologist. I've heard horrible things about here, esp from my husband who hates it here. I personally, appreciate not having ti drive 1 hour to enloe, which I think sucks (a month ago)

What I find hilariousis that this place?is suppose to be run by the sisters of mercy!!!!!If that's the case I hate to see what the sisters who hate sick people do with people. If your a chronic pain sufferer or have a chronic condition run don't walk away from here. I was brought in very I'll by ambulance. The ran a blood panel. The was a substance in my blood that CAN be associated with drug us. HOWEVER in my case I had a prescription for. The doctor came in and asked me why this substance was in my system (?????) I explained that I had a prescription for the substance to which I was told no such thing existed!!!!!(wow if that doesn't SCARE u) I told him to go to the pharmacy and ask about the med I was on and once he realized HIS error he could come at me a who different kind of way. he left he checked he was wrong and from that moment on I've never been treated worse in my life!!!I was left naked and wet in a shower stall for 30 minutes shivering. when the nurse finally came to church and see if I had died she yelled at me becauseshe had put my towels and fresh cloth in a place where they got soaked. it only went down hill from there. I could go on but why both. long and short. TAKE YOUR PEOPLE TO A HOSPITAL THAT PERHAPS GIVES A RATS ADS ABOUT PEOPLE. (2 months ago)

While waiting to be accepted at a clinic, I've had to go to this hospital a few times. I've been back in about 4 times for the same issue. None of the Drs listened to me, telling me I had pain in places where I told them I didn't, and that was the problem. 4 months later, I'm still in terrible pain in my abdomen. Touching it causes pain! My last visit was a few nights ago for something that was wrong with what they said was a nerve in my back. They gave me two shots for pain, and sent me to wait for my ride in the waiting room, without even telling me I was discharged. I waited for 45 minutes in the waiting room, waiting for the pain killer shots to kick in. Then a migraine came on. I informed the front desk, and they took me to a bed. At that time, I had to walk with my jacket over my head because the light hurt so much. My nurse dropped me off at the bed, said she'd be right back with a blanket. She doesn't come back. 15 minutes later the Dr that I spoke to earlier comes in and says they're going to give me another shot, and some pills for my migraine. The nurse comes in 10 minutes later, no blanket, and administers the shot. She pulls up the safety gate on the side of the bed, and it was COVERED IN BLOOD! Not my blood. She seemed annoyed when my wife and I got upset about the blood, and she wiped it off. I apologized, because she seemed annoyed with me. That was the last time she dealt with me, she gave me to another nurse. I wish i had gotten the new nurse's name, because she was great. (7 months ago)
