I have visited this hospital many times (unfortunately) due to the health of my aging family. The emergency room services provided by the nursing crew and doctors has always been impeccable. My sister was rushed by ambulance and greeted to what seemed the entire team of nurses on shift. They all worked very quickly, respectfully, and calmly in this very scary time. I wanted to commend the charge nurse Alexandra and my sister's nurse, Brittney, for their attentiveness and patience provided to my sister and our family during this visit. Alexandra was very helpful in explaining the process of being admitted and asking if we needed anything. Brittney took the time to explain why my sister had to be on a breathing machine, explained what her diagnosis was, what medications were being placed into her IV and why. The whole team of ER nurses though definitely proved their knowledge and work ethic. If I have the choice, I will always go to Sierra! Thank you ER team of nurses and all doctors we came in contact with :-) (3 months ago)

The nurses at this hospital couldn't even get an IV in my wife. They continued to give her pain medication that she was allergic to even though I told them that it was making her itchy and giving her a rash. When we would call the nurse there was times when we had to wait over an hour for then to show up. If I wasn't there she would not have been tended to properly. This hospital is not very clean either. My wife ended up with a recommendation for a discharge even though they didn't fix the issue. Very displeased with the service we received. (in the last week)

My mother was rushed to Sierra by paramedics although I requested another hospital. I was surprised to find the best emergency room staff compared to every other hospital that my mother had visited. The bedside manner of every member of the staff was incredible! The emergency doctors actually took the time to listen and ask pertinent questions. I will no longer ask for any other hospital. I have to compliment the excellent care my husband received at the ER recently. Dr. M. Achalla and Garrett, RN were thorough, professional and pleasant! Same goes to ultrasound and X ray techs. I hope none of them leave El Paso anytime soon. We need staff like them in our hospitals desperately. (a month ago)

The entire city of El Paso appears to be destitute of competent physicians. Not surprising to here other qualified doctors at medical conferences comment that El Paso is inundated with substandard physicians who could not get hired anywhere else, so El Paso seems to be the destination for them. My best friend has in incurable form of cancer and unfortunately is vulnerable to an inordinate number of infections. She went to the ER presenting with clear signs of a neutropenic infection and yet was discharged without appropriate medication. By nightfall she was very ill and had to be taken elsewhere to get treated promptly and CORRECTLY. She brought in a history of her blood work. Had Dr. Berumen bothered to look at the history he would have seen that her counts were higher than her usual normal. I hope the CEO of this hospital takes the time to read this reviews. Unfortunately, I don''t anticipate much being done. I have already read the numerous poor reviews this network of hospitals has. I can only imagine the fate of other patients who have to rely on the plethora of these inept physicians. (a month ago)
