Location and Directions

It is hard to square the negative reviews with my family’s experience. One of our family members went to the ER at Seton Southwest because of extreme pain associated with an infection. It turned out to be a serious infection that required surgery. Dr. Ash moved swiftly and went forward with surgery, diagnosing him correctly before the culture results had even come back from the lab. His stay in the hospital after surgery was notably positive, as the nurses and assistants were attentive to him and were very kind. Holistically, a significant part of his positive experience was due to his great health insurance that covered everything. I can’t imagine how stressful these situations are for people who are staring down a massive load of debt to simply, and literally, survive. That said, the hospital staff, surgeon, other doctors, nurses, and assistants were all good people who worked hard to help get our beloved family member healthy. And, we are very grateful. I was admitted late at night with appendicitis. The admission staff were friendly and efficient, I was up to my room and on painkillers very promptly. The nursing staff were friendly, supportive and kept me well informed at all times. I had surgery the next morning and made a quick recovery. The quality of care at this facility is excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend it. (5 months ago)

This is a good hospital with good physicians and staff, but their accounting / billing department is terrible and hard to deal with it. They are highly disorganized and messy. They will send you bills for services already paid by you and your insurance years after, charge twice for the same service and provide little to no info in their "statements of account". I went to this ER three years ago during my pregnancy. They tested my blood type to be Type O. Two years ago, I got a C-section in seton downtown medical center. After my surgery, the nurse told me my blood type is Type A. I was confused and I asked her to check my record with their emergency room. And she confirmed with me that my blood type is Type O on the emergency room record. At first I thought seton medical center got a wrong blood type of me and I was very upset about that Until my mom told me I have a Type A blood ten minutes ago. I went to this emergency room twice and how come they got my blood type wrong both times? Is that so hard to get the correct blood type?! (2 months ago)

Sadly I had to make a visit on 4/21 about 1400 hours. The staff in the ER from checking in, nurse's, dr n discharge we all freaking awesome, friendly, professional n had me in n out the door so fast I'd never imagine.... (2 months ago)
