Had total keen replacement 2 weeks ago. Could not have been a better expirience!!! While i was only there 1 night, from the moment i walked in the door the hospital was great. All staff (from the lady that prepped my leg to the doctors to the nurses as well as the food service/meal quality) were wonderful. Everything was explained to me. The place is clean and very organized and has upgraded systems/technology. They also have a person at each hallway corner to help direct you. Definitely a big plus considering how large the facility has become as well as the avg age of the patient. I could ramble on but i think you get the picture. You ould not be disappointed going here. The Registration Experience is a total failure! Six registration stations totally busy with an incoming on-rush, took us 45 minutes to get through and then another 15 minutes to get a wheelchair. Needless to say, we were late for our appointment. Then to top that off, upon arrival the following week for the same procedure, we were told that we had to register again. Same name, same birthday, same address, same phone number, same insurance coverage! What a bottle neck in an otherwise fine hospital. Some higher management group had their stupid hats on when they dictated this process! (a month ago)

I'm in Hawaii and my niece went into the hospital unexpectedly. I checked out the website for Sarasota Memorial once I knew that was the hospital she was brought to. I wanted to send her a gift that was not flowers. On the website, there is a link to the gift shop along with some downloadable pictures of some of the stuffed animals they have available. It also says to give the gift shop a call and they will assist with purchasing a gift/delivery of said gift over the phone. Being that I'm halfway across the globe and in the middle of the ocean, this was a perfect solution for me. I called and was NOT disappointed! She was so patient and so helpful and made it easy for me to make the purchase sight unseen. I told her what my niece likes and BAM! She came through with a little stuffed white kitten, a pink unicorn that makes 'magic' noises, a coloring kit, and a get well balloon. Needless to say because of the 6 hour time difference, I called at 5:15pm and she was able to take my order, put it together, and deliver it TODAY!!! My niece couldn't be happier and I couldn't be happier with the service I received and the service she is receiving at Sarasota Memorial. These little things make a world of difference when you under so much stress already. Thank you so much!! (a month ago)

Took my husband in last night about 8:30 intake was quick, but after that it was awful was shut in a room and left there for three hours with no treatment while all the staff was doing nothing but laughing at the desk.Everytime my husband asked for help they would say their coming go back in your room. So he ended up checking himself out. With no help from them. (in the last week)

Prior employee review... great hospital great pay rates/benefits and in general good company to work for.....Pre reg department manager for scheduling is not good at all, they do not care about the employees in that department, they only care about how fast and how many calls you can take without making any errors so that the upper higher ups look good while we did all the work and get yelled at or disciplined if we did not take as many calls and schedule the appointments they want. They macro manage. High turn over rates because employees aren’t happy about getting picked at and every single mistake you make pointed out. They watch and monitor your every move like you are in prison, they are not team players at all, management does not help or assist to reach the goals they wanted us to achieve all they did was bark out do this and do that or you’ll get wrote up. They are not the type of managers to step in and actually help out. Department did not used to be that way and now has gone down hill. (a month ago)
