Usually I have terrible experiences at this hospital, that’s why I have three stars, but today was different. I didn’t catch the doctor’s name but she had longer dark hair and glasses. She was absolutely wonderful. I went in because I have worsening hand foot and mouth disease in my throat, mouth, and nose. It is extremely painful and I cannot eat or drink without excruciating pain. This doctor came and got me from waiting because the nurse was busy. She took me back and listened carefully to me and my complaints. She prescribed something to coat my mouth so I could eat and pain medicine that would be more sufficient for my situation. She treated me like a patient. I had been to an NP and Urgent care and neither wanted to treat my symptoms. The virus lasts just a few days to a week for children, but I’m going on two weeks. She explained its different in adults and that she isn’t sure how long it will last and warned me of complications that could arise which NEITHER of the others did for me. I’m just so thankful for her at this time, she was amazing. (9 months ago)

My daughter was a passenger in a serious car accident on Wednesday, January 24th 2018. She was taken from the scene to Saint Thomas DeKalb Hospital via ambulance. The doctor checked her eyes. He said, "he doesn't order a scan if the patient is not knocked unconscious". She was treated for a large hematoma on her head by using ice packs and she was sent home with nothing for pain. When the doctor spoke with me (her mother) his legs were crossed on the desk and his arms were behind his head. Very unprofessional. Before I arrived at the hospital, he insinuated to my daughter that she must not have been wearing her seatbelt because a headrest couldn't do that to her head. On Sunday, January 28th we took her to Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was complaining of headaches, dizziness, nausea and lack of appetite. The doctor immediately ordered a CT of her head and face and she gave her something for pain. She was diagnosed with a concussion and she was sent home with adequate medicine. We will not be back. One of my family members was seriously injured while in this hospitals care and the nursing staff and attending doctor at the time covered it up by moving them to another hospital. Do yourself a favor and go to another hospital. (10 months ago)

Worst hospital I've ever been to. ER doctor was asleep behind counter and had to be woken up, then barely examined my family member. Pumped him full of pain Med's and sent him home. Next day had to rush him to another hospital and he had to have emergency surgery! (11 months ago)
