Had my partner wait for over four hours while he was in excruciating pain. Talked to the nurses and whoever was there several times because he was passing in and out of consciousness. Wasn't taken seriously, had to walk into the back myself and get pail for him. I really hope they enjoyed cleaning up his vomit from the floor. They refused to bill his insurance at first, saying it wasn't accepted at that hospital AFTER he had surgery to remove his appendix. After months of back and forth with billing, it was suddenly covered and we were refunded the payments we payed for his "uninsured" procedure. I also went there for severe vomiting and pain about a year ago, had a nurse with a terrible attitude who didn't take me seriously and sent me away after it stopped after hours with no care while in the ER. Went to spectrum a little later later, I had a larger stomach ulcer. For your own health go to spectrum. (2 months ago)

Nurses were kind and provided great support. The hand surgeon was kind enough to take time to perform a procedure that was not scheduled the same day I entered the E.R.. I feel blessed and im thankful for all the staff. Thank you and god bless you all. (2 months ago)

I was treated like a drug seeker. I had the worst pain of my life, in my lower abdomen. Screaming, crying, writhing pain. They drug tested me before letting me see a doctor. The doctor came in and didn't even feel my belly or examine me at all and started telling me it was endometriosis and "what does your doctor do for this pain?" I had to tell her repeatedly it wasn't any pain I'd ever had. After crying and begging she finally felt my belly and listened to it. I jumped and cried out in pain. She thought I was acting. After telling me she didn't want to do a cat scan, but me insisting, she stormed out of the room with a huge attitude. When she came back she said something was wrong with my intestines and it needs surgery asap and she was going to send me to the downtown hospital. I requested to go to spectrum and the whole staff crew went nuts like they've never dealt with a transfer before. The doctor continued to be super rude to me and made us wait around for an additional hr and a half until we could leave. I ended up being admitted to spectrum and staying in the hospital for 3 days. I have multiple problems that could have been the death of me that night. Yet the staff treated me like a drug seeker. Never been so disrespected by a doctor in my life. Horrible experience. I had my baby there a couple months ago and the care there was amazing. They focused on always making sure my pain was under control, they cared about how I was feeling emotionally. The facility was under construction and they were very apologetic about the noise and offered to have me transfer, but it wasn't bad at all. The nurses were very caring and compassionate and made me feel comfortable. One of the nurses held my hand as I had my spinal block put in for my C-section and kept assuring me I was doing good. It was a great experience. (5 months ago)

The emergency room is not the place I like spending my morning but I had to do it today. I was having unbearable pain in my hip and had to do something to get some relief. The ER wasn't busy so I was taken right back to a room. All of the staff were very nice and helpful. I went home feeling much better. (4 months ago)
