I have been taking my mother here for years, I would not take her anyplace else the staff is great with her as well as our family when we are there. We are confident in the care and treatment she gets while in the hospital here. My mom has spent alot of time in the hospital as well as a lot of time in ICU. When we do have to leave her to go to work or home to rest they are very good at updating us they call with any changes and are always nice enough and patient enough to answer our calls with any questions even if it is just to ease our minds so we can rest. We are blessed to have such a great hospital and such an amazing team of care givers so close to home. Thank you staff of St Joe east we truly appreciate all you do for our family. (3 months ago)

My mother went to the hospital for a CT scan after she was told by them that her appendix was inflamed and inlarged, and could be at the point that it could burst. She had already been in severe pain for almost a week and still was at the times of this visit. After the CT scan, she had to wait five hours in a waiting room and when they asked the lady at the desk how much longer, she only said "I don't know, I'm back here by myself." Then finally they waited for thirty more minutes for the doctor to tell her that they had accidentally mixed up her scans with another patient and told her that it was probably hernias. They didn't even really confirm if it was hernias or not. They said will call you on Monday, and sent her home with nothing to help with the pain or any assurance of what was really wrong with her. Just a "it's probably hernias." I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. The care and diligence they supposedly have here is horrid. Do not go here if you think that they are going to take care of you, because they will more than likely leave you for another five hours to decide if they have they even have your name right. Unfortunately I broke my nose and the nearest emergency was here at St Joseph Hospital, 30 minutes in waiting hall, then 3 hours sitting at the room inside just waiting for the doctor, then they send me out to take the X-ray,hey guys I went there because I thought you gonna set right my nose canals, but not, they gave me out papers and told me Hey you broke nose,we can't do anything. What?? I knew it. Very awful experience with service. Now I got two bills over $2000. Thank you ((( (4 weeks ago)

I went to ER with sharp pains to my right side on Jan. 19, 2018. After C-Scan, I was advised I must be admitted immediately for appendicitis & my surgery would be scheduled for the first thing Saturday morning. The staff was very nice & took the time to explain the process to me. I was taken to the 4th floor where I met an excellent nursing staff who looked after me day & night! ( a special thank you to Nurse Danielle) The environmental engineers kept my room made sure my room was very clean. (I didnt like my issues with rhe sink but it was reported) The kitchen staff was very kind & considetate while I was there. On the days I did not feel like eating, that department, called to see if I needed anything...they even provided the daily menu. Most places feel as if its your responsibility. I was very thankful for the personal touch! Last, thank you to the surgeon, doctors, & operating staff who with God's guidence saved my life.:) (3 weeks ago)

My girlfriend has been in the ER for two hours, so far. She was just taking back an hour after sitting in the waiting room and when got back there, the nurse just turned around and said i will be your nurse and walked away. No blood pressure cuff, no temperature check, no IV. She had a nasty attitude as well. Didn't bring a pillow, blanket, or even a gown. The worst hospital in Lexington. She has a possible kidney infection and they could care less. I will be reporting all the nurses on this shift and hope they dealt with accordingly. Horrible service. They finally came in after she acted up and made a scene. She 17 kidney stones and a kidney infection. They immediately did emergency surgery 15 minutes later. I don't know what is wrong with these people, but they better get their act together before a lawsuit causes them to lose their jobs. (3 months ago)
