Surgery is stressful, painful, and difficult to deal with, but when you come to a facility like this one, it helps alleviate some of that. I can say that I've never had a better experience with my medical treatment, and I would go back to St. Anthony's in a second if I needed more services. My surgeon was top notch. He explained everything to me, made time to come see me every day I was there, and made sure I understood everything that was happening with my procedures. You're awesome Dr. Shah!! My nurses were amazing, and the few who stood out to me were Bri who took my coming out of anesthesia issues like a pro, was able to get me into a private room to recover and was kind to me no matter what, Amanda who also had to deal with a bit of my attitude was just the nicest person, :) and Gilda who was just the sweetest person ever. I know there are others who were amazing as well. My techs were great and helped me with everything I needed, checked on me constantly and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. The staff and my experience overall was stellar. They also have a wonderful program that helped me with my patient portion and alleviated so much off the stress I was under. Thank you all so very much for the care that you gave me. You all helped me through a very difficult process and made it as easy as possible. I can't thank you all enough for everything. I had a fabulous experiences at this Hospital. I had gone to a urgent care earlier in the week and they had given my the wrong meds and made my condition waaay worse. I was in and out of the Hospital with in 2.5 hours, prescription in hand knowing fully what was wrong how to treat it, and a follow up phone number if i did not improve. Everyone from the check in woman at the desk, the Triage Nurse to the Dr. that saw me were courteous, informative and friendly. I was kinda scared because of the reviews but now feel completely comfortable if I have to go back (a week ago)

I have never felt so disappointed in a hospital before. My 82 year old father was taken to the emergency room Monday with chest pains. They checked his vitals and admitted him and instructed the nurses that he couldn’t eat after midnight so they could run tests the following day on Tuesday. That night the nurse forgot to mention in her notes my dad was a diabetic. Tuesday at noon I asked the nurse what his blood sugar had been since he had not eaten or taken any of his meds. She stared blankly at me and asked if he was a diabetic. It was unreal! He was ignored all day Tuesday and not one test had been performed. They also gave him a high sugar/fatty meal that night because they forgot to let nutrition know he was a diabetic that needed to also be on a heart healthy diet (this actually happened twice)Fast forward to today (Wednesday) and they finally perform the tests. It’s now 8 o’clock at night and my parents are just now getting home. Guess what they found out was wrong with him? They have no idea! Not one Dr. came in to give results! My parents have no clue why my dad is having chest pains with shooting pains that travel from his neck down his left arm. The nurse told them to call the Dr tomorrow to set up an appointment next week to find out what is wrong. She did mention there was a concern but she couldn’t say. How is it that you go to the hospital and find out absolutely nothing when in fact there is something wrong! My dad is 82 years old and an after thought to them. They ignored him, endangered his health, and gave no conclusion to what is going on with him. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL AS YOU CAN! GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE! (2 months ago)

Its so sad to see that quite a few of the reviews here are negative. However my experience was quite the opposite. This was my first time visiting St Petersburg Fl. I was having chest pain and had to go to the ER at St Anthony's. My experience here was excellent, the staff was great. Thank you so much to the doctors and nurses who were involved with my care. However a special thanks to Izzy my ER nurse, Woody and Erin my nurses in Flex1 and Brett the technician. I hope I remembered your names correctly. You all put the care in caring and I appreciate it very much. If I had one negative thing to say, it would be about the food, which I think has lots of room for improvement. That is the only reason I am not giving 5 stars. (5 months ago)

It is my opinion, the staff was great. But for the amount of money they charge they should have a specialist on staff all the time just in case a person is there for something severe. For example spine, brain, etc.... (a month ago)
