I went to the emergency Rio Grande hospital in Mission first. After a number of test, I was sent to the Rio Grande hospital in McAllen by ambulance. Because it was a weekend, I was told that certain tests could not be done. (In a hospital????) They were able to do two tests but no one was available again to READ the results. I was then sent home. Now, over a month later, I am back in Wisconsin and STILL don't have the results of the tests done in McAllen. My doctors here have sent multiple requests for them and still no answers. The staff was friendly and did what they could, but not having a doctor in that big hospital that couldn't read the results of my tests for two days was insane. I am still working to find the results. (4 weeks ago)

Friendly staff, quality care, nurses attentive to patient needs and doctor made regular visits to room to move the process along. (a month ago)

Good staff! But anesthesiologist Marino didn't do a good job my wife had the epidural and it's been three weeks and she still hurting from her back (2 months ago)

I delivered my son in 2007, he had surgery in 2015, and my mom came in for gallbladder stones in 2017. All these times we have been treated with patience. The staff and nurses are friendly and understand that when you are in a situation like having your loved one in the hospital, you go into la la land. Any hospital will charge you an arm and a leg but as long as we are treated right I really don't mind, or driving across town to get taken care of. This is the hospital I prefer. Thanks to everyone for being so kind! (11 months ago)

Posting two reviews because its imperative that I give credit where credit is due. NICU nurses are fabulous!!! My twins were born 31 weeks and spent month in NICU. They were all so loving and gentle, really showed their pride in their job while taking care of the babies. I was amazed at how they always gave me all of the info when I called to check on them and how they were never too busy to take my phone calls . I think they all deserve recognition and compensation above what they get now because they are above average nurses. I will hands down urge anyone who is high risk to deliver there!! (10 months ago)
