As an impatient patient I was VERY happy with my stay! I was there for a total hip replacement...I was cared for, respected....the nurses were on the ball, knowledgeable, fun...They really did take care of me! The Doctor told me this would be the case! I was trained on how to get around following my surgery...they thought of everything on that floor! I had a great time! My hats off to the entire staff! (a month ago)

So my mother's nursing home made a mistake and did not tell the paramedics to take her to inova. 30 hours later still in pain with constipation won't do an enema I can't get her transferred to fair oaks. Tried to do dialysis as an extra treatment without reviewing dialysis history. I've been waiting for over 8 hours to find out if pneumonia is in one lunch or both. Do not communicate patient advocate on vacation with no one covering. Hoping my mother doesn't get a collapsed lung like she did last fall. Don't come to this hospital drive the extra miles and go to fair oaks. (in the last week)

Staff seemed caring. Facility was clean. In a kind of bizarre placement. Caseworker had difficulty navigating insurance company issues and did not take into consideration distance family was traveling to. Doctors were knowledgeable. Rns were informed and supportive. (4 months ago)

I was in this hospital to deliver a baby on Feb 1,2016 . The Doctor who suppose to C-section me was Dr Rodolfo H Gonzalez. He doesn't want to come, and he doesn't pick up his phone, and the hospital doesn't want to bring another Doctor. I waited 12 hours (please, I am not exaggerating). I checked in around 12:00am , the Doctor show up around 11:30am. On the hospital computer screen, my baby's heart beat was red continuously for 12 hrs. I was in continuous pain for 12 hrs because of labor. I was crying for most of the waiting time and asking the nurses again and again where the Doctor is. One of the nurses tired of me and showed her empty pockets and told me "is not here". I reported this incident and about this Doctor to the Discipline & Compliance Virginia Board of Medicine, and it is under investigation . Even in the third world countries, women don't wait 12 hrs to get a Doctor. This hospital is much worse than a hospital in Africa. If you are going to this hospital for labor ( especially black women ) , please think twice. (5 months ago)

I had initially given single star for the service in 2012 for my first daughter both hospital staff and billing department were not that good. But our second experience was excellent in 2017. There are few things to improve upon. But overall good rated hospital. (5 months ago)
