Brought my elderly mother here a few summers ago. I had no idea what was wrong but she was obviously unwell and distressed. She was having difficulty communicating so I had to speak for her. After a perfunctory ER exam they admitted her overnight. I arrived first thing in the morning, expecting to speak to a physician and discuss her health. I was told the social worker needed to speak to me. The first three things she said, in this order, were a) she is being discharged immediately b) there would be no tests or further exams and c) "what is her income, does she have a mortgage and what is her house worth?". I answered and she replied "oh, that's too much...they'll take it all". I was stunned and alarmed and asked WHO would "take it all". "Medicaid", she replied, "you have to put her in a nursing home". Without even really examining her my mother was dismissed as being a cranky old bat and I was treated like a clueless delusional son who refused to face reality. "I'll start the paperwork" were her next words. I brought her home and she deteriorate so a week later she returned. Once again they ignored me and treated her for a symptom, not the actual problem, despite my pleas and insistence that something more serious was afoot. After two days they discharged her again, but this time they suggested PT rehab. The rehab people were all over me, making their pitches and promises, then the staff chose a rehab for her that night without even consulting me first. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that RBMC worked with the very same rehab they "suggested". They have a location within the hospital itself, in fact. Can you say "gross conflict of interest"? Later she was admitted to a real hospital where a simple MRI revealed a serious spinal injury. She was treated successfully and lived for another three years...at home. Then a few months later they send her a bill...a non-itemized bill, no less. Nice work, RBMC PA, well done. No wonder everyone dreads that place, it's where you go to die. (a month ago)

I had the occasion to be at the day surgery unit today with family.I am a nurse, and was so amazed at the wonderful and caring employees i met. They were so professional and caring.Every last person we met was outstanding. From the pre-check, to the nurses, right down to the person who helped you in the car.Very classy operation. Your wonderful staff truly makes this hospital great. Thanks again to the wonderful staff. This is by far the worst hospital. I usually never post bad reviews but something has to be done about this hospital. The board has to come in and really evaluate this place. You are putting your life at risk coming to this hospital. And that is supposed to be the complete opposite when going to a hospital. (3 months ago)

This hospital is the worst I’ve ever been too. The doctors are very slow and have bad attitudes. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. (a week ago)

The ER department was horrible! I was there for kidney stone attack and the nurse I had concentrated on flirting with other staff instead of concentrating on the patients. Triage was fast but it does not make up for how the ER staff performed. I would never go back there. I will go to JFK in Edison before going back there! (4 months ago)
