"Pat" as she identified herself, in CT, is probably one the rudest people I've ever spoken with in a hospital and as a former Paramedic, I've spoken to many. I've heard from other medical facilities that they don't like dealing with St. John's staff, especially in imaging because they are horrible. I now know the truth for myself. (in the last week)

Every single time i have to go to the ER at St. John's i have a warn and wonderful experience. Last weekend it was very busy. Even with that said, one of the volunteer workers brought me a sandwich and juice. The social worker Mel was very resourceful. And my Dr Bey, i wish we were related. She is an amazing doctor. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart. (8 months ago)

MONA register nurse, here at St. John’s. Has treated my sister Emma, so poorly this women MONA should not be allowed near sick people. MONA is aggressive, violent. I have never seen anyone treat a patient so poorly. If you or any of your family members come here please be aware and warned about MONA. ICU 2nd Floor room 2246. (7 months ago)

Terrible ER service Saturday night. Brought in by ambulance, given a room that wasn't clean, number 9. Yet room had boxes of materials stacked on the counter. Told I was discharged upon entering without an exam. Given a G.I. cocktail and ordered to leave by nurse, no doctor. The medical board will be notified. (4 months ago)

I spent 5 hours in the ER d/t extreme abdominal pain. While the doctor and registration staff was pleasant, the hospital nursing staff was inexcusably unprofessional, uncaring, and down-right dangerous. The first nurse put an IV and pressed on my vein constantly d/t slow blood flow. Then I noticed my arm was stinging and swelling up with fluid. She sent a phlebotomist in and he said he would go get her. NEITHER of them ever came back. My mom had to search for a nurse 45 minutes later and she stared at my swollen arm and said, "the last nurse didn't give you fluid so you shouldn't be bubbling. You should be fine." I proceeded to politely ask for her to take it out and asked if I would have my blood test completed....she replied, "oh, the doctor said you didn't need it." I had come in for pain and it literally took 3 hours to get my pain meds. I had to beg for some relief....later, (I won't give the gory details) I was trying to clean myself and asked for a nurse's help. As I was cleaning myself I got really dizzy and nauseous and almost fell. I was not wearing any bottoms and the nurse instructed me to walk to the restroom. I told her I couldn't walk and needed to sit and possibly throw up. She continued to instruct me to walk to the restroom. Btw, I came in a wheelchair because I couldn't walk.....After a few minutes of going back and forth with her, I asked her just to put a large pad on the bed so I could sit and asked for nausea medication. She came back 30 minutes later with a Rx and said she couldn't give me the medication because they had already discharged me....I am a typically positive person and I was polite to everyone involved, but if I can save someone the pain of going to their ER, then I believe it's worth posting.
