My family and I have been going to Sacred Heart for the past 19 years. We've had 4 Emergency room visits. Each time we have been treated within a reasonable amount of time and the care has been excellent. We wouldn't go anywhere else. We have also had 3 surgeries done at Sacred Heart, again excellent service each time. (3 weeks ago)

If you care about your family or children: PLEASE DON'T TAKE THEM HERE! During a visit to the ER blood tests were taken. When I left I asked if I would be called or emailed with the results? The answer: NEITHER. They said we won't be giving you the results (not willingly). I was told I'd have to request them from the medical records unit in Portland and wait weeks for a response. What's the point in getting emergency medical care now or even doing tests if you won't even give the results to the patient? Not even if something was seriously wrong. I requested the results in writing and received a denial! They say I am not really myself. They cite my signature on the request form as not matching my actual signature. REALLY?! Ooooh! Please tell me more, this sounds good. Apparently, they know more about me than I do. So, 3 weeks after the ER visit I still don't know what's wrong with me. I also witnessed an elderly man collapse to the ground in their care. They were having him walk down the hallway quickly when he was saying out loud that his chest hurt and he was obviously not steady on his feet. They watched him collapse and I had to stand up and yell for help. This place is a disaster. (a month ago)

No one seemed to be listening, when I checked into emergency. That's why they call it Emergency. Now!!! 3 times I told 3 different people. Stroke blood pressure I was sent by an RN from CHAS. My 11 year old's first visit to the ER The staff was very caring and attentive. We did have a very long wait time, but in the hospitals defense they only have so many beds and there were a lot of patients. The nurses aid and nurse were both very engaging and kind as well as the doctor who we saw. Did to the reason we were there an x-ray was necessary and the tech was very kind to my daughter and understanding that she was in pain. I did give the hospital 4 out of 5 because of the people loitering outside the entrance. My daughter and I don't need to be asked for cigarettes or walk through cigarette smoke to go in and out of a hospital. (2 months ago)

I waited and waited, with no results. It seemed like they were trying to see if I would get bored enogh to leave on my own. Hours. I was here for hours, all they did was a blood test that they cannot get the results for - they have it sent out and wait 24 hours. I am here for severe back pain and it is both enough to make me cry and to vomit. I am tired, it is a holiday, I want them to take me seriously so I can go home with a fix or a cure. How does one wait for hours in a nearly empty er. (a week ago)
