My daughter in law, a employee with this hospital. Had a double mastectomy due to stage 3 breast cancer. They called day of surgery! Her position was filled, her short term disability has ended & she now has to pay for health insurance! Good part she was approved for fml. That's nice...i don't think she'd be able to work you stupid inhumane PEOPLE. Wonder what happens to patients behind scenes? Also room had 1/2 inch of dust on bathroom door. Wonder how clean this place is. Not impressed. (a month ago)

Horrifically horrifically horrifically bad hospital. Call lights on for a half hour at a time. I've had to go to the nurse station twice because they are sitting around talking instead of doing their jobs. The service is extremely show, the medical staff is extremely disorganized. I don't believe they have made any progress diagnosing these symptoms as no one is on the same page here. This place is pathetic. Staff should be ASHAMED. I've never been so angry in my life. Don't use this Emergency Room! Both my daughter and I have had the same experience. They take you in and say that they accept your medical insurance. What they don't tell you is that the emergency room doctors are independent contractors who may NOT accept your insurance. In both instances, the independent emergency room physician would not accept my daughter's or my medical insurance, and forced us to pay their ridiculously high rates directly. We tried calling the hospital, and were told that there is nothing they can do, as the physicians are not Providence Park employees. My entire family and friends will now go out of our way to go to Henry Ford West Bloomfield hospital for any medical needs. 5/29/18 Update: I sent the requested documents directly to the email address on 4/30/18. Asked for an update on 5/05. No response other than telling me to call the Independent Emergency Physicians, which I had previously done many, many times. So basically, the response was just a PR gimmick to make it look like they are concerned. (a month ago)

Terrible hospital. Will never go for an emergency again. I hate that this hospital is the most convenient for me, and I hope if I'm ever in a state where I can't choose they don't automatically send me to this place. (in the last week)

Awful billing. Went into the emergency room and they couldn't find my insurance company. They threw the bill on my father's credit with out his knowledge or approval. Have spent three months getting the run around now between the hospital, the insurance, and a collection agency. Will never trust any paperwork they file. Didn't even receive copies of my bill at the time. In addition I had a concussion the doctor didn't even check for when that was the reason I came to the hospital. Had a second opinion after I left that confirmed it was a concussion. I'm now paying 500 dollars for a doctor to misdiagnose and because they can't bill properly. Providence park is a joke.
