I developed an abscess that spread to my entire cheek area, before my scheduled dentist appointment. Based on the previous reviews I've read, I went to Providence's ER with great trepidation. It was the best ER experience of my life! Albeit, there is nothing fancy about the facility. However, the entire facility (the waiting room, the intake area, the examining room, and, yes, the public bathroom) were ALL sparkling clean. I was in and out within two hours - this included a diagnosis by the doctor and the dispensing of necessary medications, my prescription write-up, and receipt of my discharge papers. Mind you, I arrived at 11:30 am. Everyone I encountered displayed a respectful, professional, and upbeat demeanor. Last, I didn't have to pay for parking. No complaints here concerning today's visit, only accolades. (2 months ago)

I came to this hospital because I had a rash/hives . I waited for a while for a doctor or a nurse to come into the room. When the doctor finally comes in he acts as if he doesn’t see my rash just to tell me I need to lose weight. I’m 7 months pregnant. I didn’t end up getting treated I literally left crying. I don’t know where he was trained. But telling a pregnant woman who did not come into the hospital for weight related issues is not only rude it’s unprofessional. He’s not my primary care doctor and again I’m pregnant and I only came here because i had a rash. This hospital is dirty, ghetto, and the doctors/nurses are unprofessional and rude. (2 months ago)

I really don't get it. FIX THE PROBLEM. Stop apologizing. Its empty. Im typing this waiting because this was the closest hospital and i had an allergic reaction. The front desk security goes on and on about his night last night with hospital staff in scrubs. I can't see how he is on break. I work for the government and lunches don't even take that long. The front desk check in staff are cackling about any and everything. People are literally curled up in here with blankets and bloodshot eyes. The only glimmer of hope was a doctor who came out but then she started screaming at a patient for eating a popsicle only to walk back in to emergency room. I could die here . You could die here. DON'T COME . This isn't even personal this is a matter of life and death. Regroup on how to get patients in and out. Do some kind of strategy on patient management. Do something just don't apologize. The entire time i kept looking up another hospital. This place is so disrespectful to human life. I just can't even spend anymore energy typing. Im done. (a week ago)

I got my appendix removed at Providence. The surgeon was great - very professional and great bedside manner. The nurses were so sweet and took wonderful care of me. Probably the best experience I've ever had at a hospital. (6 months ago)

Horrible, my father was taken in an ambulance there as the local hospital closer to us was overpacked with people, knowing that my father had aggressive cancer they still took forever to help him we spent about 7 hours there for nothing, my father was in a lot of pain, and we waited and waited just for them to give him meds to get liquid out cause his legs were also swollen, they never looked into what the cause might've been and he was just let out, no observation or anything. If you're really having an EMERGENCY go somewhere else, don't waste your time. Get the quality care you need. (2 months ago)
