My wife gave birth here and the whole process was great. The doctors and nurses were very good and responsive. This is our second child. (We delivered our first at a ritzy new hospital on the east coast. The amenities there were fantastic but the actual staff were cold and would do the minimum.) I found Pomerado Hospital to be clean, and the staff had expertise in all facets of our delivery. Doctor Cobb is excellent, and the nurses (Trina, Laurie, Val, Heather the lactation consultant) were always one step ahead. This is not a 5 star resort, but as a hospital it met my expectations. I docked one star because the rooms do feel old, and there are some lacking basics that would be helpful. A small patient kitchen with water, ice, juices, and access to a fridge would be a great start. It's awkward to ask qualified RNs for these things all day long. (a year ago)

Security is terrible. Never depend on them an extremely incompetent staff of security. Nurses and doctors did great. But security needs to be reevaluated. (a year ago)

I took my wife into emergency because she has a nasty rash throughout her whole body beneath the skin, which causes CONSTANT itching which drives her crazy almost to complete madness!!!!They stuck her in a room, where we waited well over an hour, asking the NP for a doctor, exclaiming she was in a DIRE,DESPERATE state of emergency! The waiting, with no answer, combined with hearing the few staff members that WERE there, just standing around, talking about money, finally drove my wife to near madness!!!Even after we begged them to "PLEASE GET A DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY",noone would so much as lift a finger to help her!!!!Finally,in a state of madness,my wife scrambled out of there, and we drove FRANTICALLY to North County Health Services, where she recieved IMMEDIATE help!!!!!!This "hospital" should be DISBANDED,and ALL medical personel,FIRED!!!!!This is CRUEL,INCOMOPTANT,and INHUMANE!!!!!!! I got c diff here. Look it up. It means staff doesn't wash their hands and equipment isn't clean. I also got a blood clot after a nurse carelessly and forcefully ripped my IV line out. (7 months ago)
