Worst. I had to take an ambulance over to the hospital. I lost feeling in my face and both my arms. My face was swollen and i was having trouble breathing. When I got there. They didn’t do a breathing treatment. I was there for 3 hours they did nothing for my chest pain, swelling of my face, or losing feeling in both my arms. When i get there i told the doctor what was going on she said there was no wheezing so i wasn’t able to get a breathing treatment. And she kept telling me to just breathe normally. When i couldn’t. It felt like something was crushing my chest. They told me my face wasn’t swollen but i checked and it clearly was. I later pressed the button to call for the nurse and told her i was having trouble breathing and she said “Well honey just breathe then” They did not take me seriously because I am 18. They literally laughed when i told them what was going on with me. When i got there the doctor ask if i was hyperventilating at all I could barely hear what she was saying because I felt like i was going to pass out so instead she laughed and then demonstrated what hyperventilating was like i was 5. And then when they discharged me the doctor said i lost feeling in my arms and face because i was hyperventilating when i never once hyperventilated. and i told her that when I got there and then proceeded to make me walk home. The WORST experience I have ever had. (2 weeks ago)

I had an excellent experience at PH DuBois. Having been diagnosed with breast cancer, I was given superior care and treatment. Throughout the numerous surgeries, tests, and appointments, I was always treated in a timely manor with concern and respect. My general surgeon, plastic surgeon, and oncologist gave me outstanding care and attention. I was extremely pleased with my results from these knowledgeable doctors. I feel the people in this area are fortunate to have a local hospital with an empathetic and supportive team whose genuine interest and concern rival that of the city hospitals where patients are nothing more than a number. They don’t even deserve 1 star. They spend all this money on remodeling when they should spend it on having more than 1 dr on duty. Got there, went thru registration and got x rays done then sat in waiting room for 3 1/2hrs and wasn’t even seen. They were taking ppl that came in after me. Meanwhile I’m sitting there in pain not be able to barely sit or stand. Since Penn Highlands took over they suck. I wouldn’t take my animals there. No referrals from me for this place. (3 weeks ago)

Went in with severe pain in my stomach. They gave me a cat scat that showed I have an umbilical hernia. Doctor came back in and said that she didn't think that's what's causing the pain, gave me more pain meds and sent me home. No other tests or anything. 4 days later and I'm still in pain. They were great when I had my 3 kids there but the ER is so horrible now. Very unhappy with them! (3 months ago)

I do agree that the ER services weren't all that decent, but the Behavioral Health Unit is great and it's continuing to improve. They recently hired a doctor that worked with me as a inpatient psych doctor at CPC and the doctors an physicians assistant that worked with me while I was there about a year ago were very competent as it is. If I could make a tiny suggestion though... I feel like the BH unit should should expand and really focus a little more on dual diagnosis like Clarion, Fairmount, and The Meadows. Some people go there because their number 1 hospital of choice that focus on both mental health and addiction are full and have absolutely no other options. Help is help though, and when I left, I felt a lot better and met some cool people. The staff were courteous and I absolutely loved the social worker. She was AWESOME! It wasn't better than Clarion, but if CPC was ever full and DuBois had a bed available, I'd choose DuBois over everyone else. They helped me repair my relationship with my girlfriend which was a big plus. Oh, and if you live in, say, Indiana, and you have no way to get back, they will order you a bus ticket and give you a little cash for bus fare and what not if that is your plan after you get off the bus. I wish patients were able to smoke or even go outside, and I heard they're actually planning on building a court yard for the patients. I'm not sure if they scrapped those plans or not, but that would make this place so much better as BH units tend to make you feel... Trapped. It would be a great way to let the patients take in some fresh air while socializing. The food was what you would expect it to be, but it wasn't half bad and they do activities for the patients like: Movie nights, (Netflix), art (both therapeutic and recreation), music therapy, and they even have video games, and... and... they have a pastor who comes in once or twice a week, and she's non-denominational, so she wasn't overbearing. I'm not religious by any means, but I still believe in God and I haven't abandoned the morals that I developed as a Christian in the past. It was still boring at times, especially on the weekends when nothing is going on, but Overall, I give it 4.5 stars. (a month ago)
