NO STARS!! RELEASED when needed to be admitted!!! Last month my nephew went to Palms West Hospital ER for large burns (2 to 3” by 6-7”) on both calves. He was only briefly seen by a doctor and the nurse put only a thin layer of medicine on the burns and wrapped the wounds tightly. He was RELEASED only a few hours later in Greater Pain with instructions that he might want to follow up with a surgeon in a few days. We went home, googled and decided to take him to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center the next day where he was ADMITTED and immediately received a large layer of medicine and loose wraps and the pain lessened. He then had SURGERY. He was in the hospital 6 days vs Palms West just releasing him after a few hours. I can’t even express how uncaring and seemingly ignorant the ER staff were about my nephew’s burns. Thank goodness for Miami Jackson!! (2 weeks ago)

This review is specifically for Eric Goldman, CEO of Palm West Hospital. In the mist of emotional chaos for us, he went above and beyond for us. We are supremely appreciative for what he did for our family. Our son was in PICU for the 16 days and Mr Goldman showed immense compassion and did everything in his power to ensure fair treatment. I want to show my appreciation through this review and thank you for what you did for us 4 years ago. You are truly a Godsend. (2 months ago)

Best hospital I've been to so far, I have MS, so I've had my fair share of hospitalizations. Palms West makes you feel "at home" while you're being treated, and they actually pay attention to test results first before they load you up with meds. I highly recommend. (a month ago)

Horrible!! Recently my grandson was in the Emergency room at Palms West and it was an awful experience. Then my brother had a simple gall bladder surgery there and it was a nightmare!! He had a bile leak, after having gall bladder surgery two days prior. He arrived by ambulance, in excruciating pain, his abdomen was full of fluid. The ER nurses were rude and could care less about the patient or his family. When he needed something, they couldn't be bothered, instead they were sitting around chatting with each other and playing on their phones. Even in the ICU unit, some of the nurses were very rude and unprofessional. Some of them have no idea what they're doing. The nurse was touching the central line without gloves and when flushing the line, she would push the fluid through so quickly, it would cause him pain and then swelling. One day, he waited an entire hour to get his pain medication, when the ICU nurse only had two patients to take care of. He buzzed three times and they never came. The ER was filthy both times and the rooms are too. I wouldn't bring my dog there!! (a month ago)

Normally it's great 5 stars but the nurse my mother had was nasty. Marsha I believe her name is. Never gave me an update on my mom. I tried to ask questions and she would cut me off. Very rude. I decided to stay the night because I'm not going to allow anyone to treat my mother the way she treated me. Other than that everyone was very attentive. The staff that worked on her came and explained everything to us and the lady at the surgical center was on top of keeping me updated. (3 months ago)
