I have had surgery twice and my husband has had surgery there once in the last 4 years. We chose Optim because of location and the fact that there has been no staph or MRSA at this facility. We received excellent care from beginning to end. We have also used the emergency room with grandchildren and are totally satisfied also. Driving home from Savannah or Augusta after a surgery is a nightmare. We made the right choice. (3 months ago)

My daughter was taken to this hospital today (July 30th). She was taken to be checked out as the victim of assault and being held against her will for the past several months. Law enforcement was contacted prior to this visit. Danny Adams the PA who saw her began lecturing her about taking care of herself and that it sounded like a police matter and there wasn't much they could do for her. They did a urine check because there was blood present in her urine. The nurse said she had a bladder infection and sent her on her way. She came to this hospital hoping to be checked out physically, she was traumatized a second time by your callousness towards her and you did not take the time to HEAR her. I'm thinking you need to check your bedside manner or lack thereof and maybe even find a different profession if you are not happy. The people that come there are NOT just blocks of wood with no feelings and you are certainly no God or better than anybody else. I wish you luck in whatever you choose to do, because with your poor attitude you are going to need it. (11 months ago)

I injured my ankle and went to the ER. Upon arrival I was told that they no longer had doctors in the ER. I started to leave then, but made the mistake of staying. After about an hour wait they ex rayed my ankle. 30 minutes later the nurse comes in with the discharge papers. I asked if the Pa Danny Adams was going to give me an update on my results. He over heard me ask that. He then walked in with an attitude and stated " and just what do you want me to explains?". I then asked about the ex ray. He just said the ex ray didn't show anything broken. What else do you think I can tell you? He never even took the time to physically examine me. I have been an Optimal patient for years, but am reconsidering using them for anything in the future. (a year ago)

Terrible!!! Been waiting on a lab draw for over an hour. Update: The admin called and apologized. (8 months ago)

Service was awful. Emergency staff was terribly rude. I was very upset because I expected better, since it reads that this facility is 'outstanding'. I understand it was between 2-4 am,but when a patient is in pain, respect and good service is expected, not grumpiness and rudeness. I thought this profession was about helping people-my ass. This facility is almost as bad as Statesboro. (2 years ago)
