Worst hospital in the ENTIRE STATE of NJ. I am forced to frequently go to the Frederick B. Cohen Cancer & Blood Disorder Center because it is the only hospital in the state that can treat my illness. Every time I go there it has to be an epic ordeal- the doctors are always swamped because there is never enough staff, which leads me to believe they have a super high employee turn-over rate. I am always forced to wait 2 to 3 hours AFTER my appointment time to see my doctor- what is the point of having APPOINTMENT TIMES if I always wind up waiting more than two hours to be seen? Forcing me to miss my ride (I am disabled and have to rely on car service which is difficult to schedule). The Cardiovascular Department is also a hot mess. I was to be scheduled to have a right-heart catheter done in March- the entire month goes by without it being scheduled, I had to make a thousand confused phone calls just to get the thing done while my heart condition got worse due to their LAZINESS. What sort of ghetto hospital has the patient schedule their own heart procedure? I guess I have to do the procedure on myself too! Bottom line: because this hospital serves a mostly BLACK population they don't seem to care to run the place properly. I can't know for a fact but I believe if I had private insurance, white skin and my name was Susan I would be getting much better care. Period. (3 weeks ago)

The owner or leadership at this hospital needs to be aware of the unfair operations of the Case Management and Discharge Planners on staff. If a loved one or patient wants to go to a certain nursing home or not, they have favorites because they used to work there or maybe they are getting kickbacks. Alaris SNFs and South Mountain and others get a majority of the patients leaving hospital. Why are some marketers granted access to hospital while others are never allowed in? Isn't the Assist Director leaving to work for Alariss soon? TOO MUCH GREED instead of good. (a week ago)

Worse experience ever. My 64 year old grandmother came in at 10:30pm with a fracture (broken) bone in her top arm area due to a fall and it was extremely sore. It was 1:30am and she still hadn’t gone to X-rays or gotten any medicine. It is now 5:53 am and we still haven’t seen the doctor. To top it off we went to get her X-ray TWICE, we had to wait 30 minutes for the assistant after the X-ray because the nurse or whatever she is to get us to come back to the area of observation. WORSE EMERGENCY ROOM EXPERIENCE. Now we are waiting for the doctor still to see what will they do, she’s suppose to get surgery but we have to wait for confirmation. Over all this is the worse experience ever, the Asian lady is super rude and spoke to my mother horribly before I got here, because she don’t understand the language (Spanish) incredible. My dad was on B6 and the nurse named Matthew had a wonderful bed side manner that made my whole family feel much more comfortable before his surgery. He took the time to answer questions as best as he could and provide my father with the care he needed. (2 months ago)

Worst adult ER I have EVER went to. Went in for sore throat and spent about 8 hours there in a chair, and a little above 9 hours total. Every hour I asked if a doctor was coming and they said the doctor is seeing patients. This is not an ER room, this is a relaxation center. They need better staff and manager. (a month ago)
