Location and Directions

From the moment I arrived at the hospital, until I left, EVERYONE: Valet staff, the lady standing between the two main East entrance double-doors, Front Desk, Admitting, Lab technician, and Nuclear Med staff, provided PHENOMENAL patient services! This was the case for each of my 4 visits to Morton Plant Hospital last week. It is refreshing and much appreciated! (in the last week)

My husband had surgery there, the staff on the surgical wing were great, surgery did not start on time, his Dr is great, but he didn't get a bed until 7pm. The hospital side was totally different as the food was horrible as well as most of the staff. It's all about how much money they can make and not patient care. It is a joke when you see the sign that says quiet please as you need to have the staff read it as they sound like they are having a party in the halls. Hopefully we Will never need to go back there. It's to bad you don't have a competent person in charge. (a month ago)

My mother was in and out of here for months. The staff was always very helpful and kind. The building was well kept and clean. (a week ago)

Worst hospital , terrible to NY people. Very rude in Er live here winter's tried three times over five years. Never again. Largo med a little farther but worth it. The employee s hate new Yorkers and treat terrible along with the clearwater cops in the Er. They are still living the civil war. I never experienced such hatred. Go to largo medical (in the last week)

First of all no problems with the nurses here they are just over worked and not managed well. I had a scheduled procedure with a one night stay, after staying in the recovery room for my required 5 hours in the early afternoon I was told that they were having a hard time finding me a room 4 hours later I asked about seeing my family which had flew to Florida to be with my wife, was told that they had to wait until I got a room. At 7:00 that night I was told that I probably would not get a room and would have to stay in recovery all night. Again I had 5 different nurses that night all working extra shifts all treated me great. Got no rest there at all but come morning when the new shift came on and the now needed my bed in the recovery room they all but shoveled me in to a wheelchair and pushed me out the door called my wife on the way home explaining that they forgot to mention some discharge information. Hindsight I should have demanded to go home about midnight. Now what really got me to rate this experience was two weeks later I get a certified letter saying that because the discharge paperwork was not signed by a doctor that Medicare will probably charge me more deductible and copay HOW is this MY problem?? This should be taken care of in-house. The doctor probably could not find me because I sat out on the sidewalk for 20 minuets before my wife got there. PS spent 10 days in Florida Memorial Hospital last spring they get 10 Stars could teach this Hospital a lot (2 months ago)
