Feb. 28, 2018, I had an MRI done there. Every staff member I met was very nice, knowledgable, professional. Everything was done in a timely manner. However, I do have a suggestion regarding the MRI. Music during the procedure would soften the MRI noise. I've had the music at other facilities. it's a great help. Yesterday I had a sick headache approx. 10 hours afterward. Please consider my suggestion. May God bless you all. (4 months ago)

Now I'm no lawyer but, I have discovered what I believe to be highly unethical and possibly criminal billing policy perpetrated on the financially less fortunate emergency room patients who are least able to defend themselves against Methodist Hospital Olive Branch, MS, and the associated emergency room doctors group Sound Phy E M Greater Memphis. This sounds unbelievable but it is the policy of Methodist Olive Branch, Mississippi ER to give an 80% discount if an uninsured patient pays approximately $180.00 towards the total bill the day of the service. Incredibly, if an uninsured ER patient pays nothing the day of the visit they are disqualified from receiving the same 80% discount. Since it is likely that statistically a significant percentage of uninsured patients who pay nothing at the time of services never pay anything at all, I believe Methodist Hospital Olive Branch, MS, keeps those individuals bills inflated and not discounted so that selling them to collection agencies yield approximately the same level of payment as those who get the 80% discount deal. From what I can logically deduce, it's the most efficient way for the hospital to get paid serving uninsured patients with the least amount of effort regardless of a patients willingness to pay. Furthermore, I was shocked when I received a $1774.00 bill for maybe 15 minutes total face time with the doctor(Sarah B.) from Sound Physicians EM group of greater Memphis. She never gave me so much as an aspirin. They are billing me for critical care. Currently in review. Will update outcome. Update 5-21-2018 Ok. So, after a lengthy, frustrating, worrying battle to get both the hospital and physicians group to play fair my outrageous bills from both have been discounted 75%. Thanks for finally doing the right thing! (a month ago)

I have been to the ER several times and my husband has been admitted to this hospital for a couple of nights. We were always impressed with the staff and the way that we were treated here. Keep up the good work. (7 months ago)
