I gave birth to my first baby here almost 3 weeks ago. I came in overwhelmed with fear and anxiety, and the nurses in labor and delivery calmed me down so well. Especially Marilyn. She was my night nurse and she was THE BEST. I gave birth to a healthy baby girl and was home after 3 nights. The only thing negative i have to say about this place is that the ladies at the front where there bring you after birth were very rude when I would call them. They took forever to let my nurse know I needed her, compared to the ladies in the next hall where labor takes place. Otherwise i had a wonderful experience here. (2 months ago)

If you need more than a band-aide... KEEP DRIVING! I was in and out of the hospital several times with a gall bladder problem. They kept telling me I was just "stopped up", take some milk of magnesia and go home. This is after a 2 or 3 night stay, with lots of demaral because of the awful, terrible pain i was in. One day after they discharged me for the third time I had to go to another hospital. 20 minutes after arriving there, i was examined. They scheduled surgery to remove my gall bladder the next morning and i was home that night. Merit is scared to treat anyone that needs more than a laxative or a band-aide. (3 months ago)

If I could rate a zero I would. The ER was fine and treated me with care. The care I received from the hospital was insane. I felt like no one knew what they were doing. The doctor asked if I'd taken antibiotics recently and when I told him yes, last night in the ER he was surprised and left out of my room and came back in. They put me on potassium in a drip and when it made my entire arm burn I screamed and cried before they would turn it off. Three different nurses turned it off, and then back on until I was screaming. It was a nightmare. I went in looking to get better and had to come home and recover from that. I wouldn't recommend anyone ever go here. (2 months ago)

A really nice hospital with friendly caring staff. From the time I arrived (feeling like a jacka55 due to the reason I was in there in the first place) the staff was friendly and assured me that I did have a good reason to be there. Everyone treated my wife and I with respect. Hope to not need them again (but this being real life and all) when I need a hospital, this will be the place for me, (4 months ago)

This hospital charged a $15,000 dollar bill for a few hours of service in an emergency situation. We received tests, but no treatment. It was not an overnight stay. I’ve lived in many states, but my home state is New York. I’ve never in my life seen billing practices so obscene. After requesting a breakdown of our bill, we noted inflated prices for simple procedures that would have normally been 1/10 of the cost, even at notoriously bad hospitals in my home state. My family and I will continue to fight this bill legally, and are working with a national media group in hopes of changing this hospital’s practices through exposure. (2 months ago)
