My name is Judy Thomas, I had surgery on March 23rd, 2018 at Merit Health in Biloxi Mississippi. I am from Alabama so I had read the reviews of this hospital as I am sure many of the rest of you have as well. My surgeon is from Mississippi and I trusted him very much so I had no other choice but to go with this hospital. I had my Husband and my Son with me. They are both like Tigers when it comes to my health and well being and would do what ever it takes to make sure I got the best of care. To make a long story short I had some complications after my surgery and had to spend a week on the 4th floor. I will not lie, at first we did have to butt heads with a few of the Nurses and staff members.. But I would like to say, every one of those Nurses and staff members turned out to be some of the "best and kindest people I have ever met in my life"! They are true professionals in my opinion.. They did what was best for me, even though I was stubborn and hard headed at times and did not understand. I had a Hugh Neck Fusion and it was very hard for me to swallow which caused me to have to have food intake through my IV which was VERY hard for me.. But for anyone that is reading some of the nasty reviews,,, some of them may or may NOT be true... All I can tell you is what my husband and I experienced and these men and women on the 4th floor are GREAT! There are too many of them for me to name all of them but they know who they are!!! Much Love to you all, Judy and Bob (a month ago)

They treated me real nice when I was there at 3 am. And that really comforts me a lot as a traveler who does not know the state well. Professional and know what they are doing. (3 weeks ago)

My Mom received great care in the ER (multiple times) But the In patient care was bad, they let my Mom get a pressure sore her heal. When I showed them they were shock but never did do any wound care! Then to top off that problem I get a bill for $700 (after insurance paid ) but they wanted ALL of it at once. Like I have an extra $700. So u made monthly payments & sent in the last $100 on 6 April...but then I got a bill from a Collection Agency for the last $100!! I made monthly payments so the should Never send to collection agency this is so wrong! I will never use this hospital 😡 (a month ago)

This has been the worst medical treatment I’ve ever rexeived. I have been waiting in the er room for 6 hours in relentless pain. Rude staff. As a nurse, the treatment I witnessed tonight was sub-par to say the least. Took so long to be taken care of, all other patients had either left or fallen asleep.Don’t go to this er unless you like being sassed by nurse practitioners and listen to employees gossip, while you wait In a room for 6 hours. Waste of a whole day. Wouldn’t send my dog here. (2 weeks ago)

This old rundown hospital nearly killed my only daughter and my premature only granddaughter with their incompetence !!! And I couldn't believe it when an hypocratic oath taking Neonatal ICU nurse told my daughter she was going TO DIE because she was weak and couldn't fight and she'd never see her baby girl...Might I add my daughter was already on a breathing machine swollen with toxemia high bp and a fever !!! And she had gone to that very SAME hospital a few days earlier and THEY sent her back home and she was FULL OF FLUID...But after an emergency delivery she couldn't breathe on her own that very same nurse Brittany had given Dr Muskwe a VERY wrong diagnosis or prognosis as to my daughters care in saying they'd tried everything and for him to come in and incubate(tube down here nose and throat)!!! Oh But God sent Dr. Tinofa Muskwe with another diagosis and saved my daughters life 👏👏👏 And her and her baby are both doing AMAZING🙏🙏🙏 Thank You Jesus ❤ (2 weeks ago)
