My wife and I have been going to Mercy Hospital for about ten years. I have had two surgeries there and two of my main physicians were there. Everything was OK but the last couple of years I have steadily seen the service erode. Some office staffs never returned calls and never checked Centura messaging used to contact your health team. Two of our surgeons/specialists have been let go. They were both excellent at what they did, but Centura did not see it that way. Also the pre-op process is either OK or terrible depending upon what staff are conducting the interview and testing. My wife had to find a new doc for her knee replacement three days before surgery. She was not notified and found out by accident. We found better service in Farmington than at Mercy. We also found the hospital in Farmington to be excellent as well. There has been significant remodeling at Mercy and I believe the CEO's are money people, more interested in what they make than what the patient wants. (3 weeks ago)

We love this hospital, my wife has changed most of her care to the doctors here. The best and most professional doctors around are here (a month ago)

It looks amazing in this area coming from a very first time visitor/traveler! (2 months ago)

My daughter got really sick while we were in Durango the staff was very nice and helpful (3 months ago)

I would give Mercy six stars if I could. I was admitted via the ER for a night of tests, observation, and treatment for heart issues exacerbated by elevation. From the very start to the very finish, every aspect of the extensive care I received was superlative. This includes the ER security guard, nurses, technicians, doctors, and chaplain. Their level of professionalism and care was exemplary. Our vacation was scuttled by this health issue, but the level of care I received at Mercy was a bright point. Our heartfelt thanks to all the folks at Mercy. I can't commend it highly enough. The only difficulty we had was with Billing, which seemed to strike the unlikely pose of not knowing what to do with out-of-network insurance instances — which, in a tourist town, they surely enounter many times every day. My wife had issues coordinating with them; we'll see how the follow-through goes. But as to the medical side, care was exemplary. (9 months ago)
