I wouldn't even give this place one star. My fiance is committed in the behavioral ward and staff there make the stay for paitents quite dreery. They have set times for things which is fine, but he's a recovering meth addict and coffee there is the only thing that helps him there and they keep denying him things that he needs to keep his own sanity in there. Staff is rude, need to retaught how to deal with the mentally ill. I would not recommend sending your loved ones to be committed. You'll regret your decision. (a month ago)

I went In with a stomache bug, I was a bit dehydrated, and the ER Doctor thought I should spend the night and get a IV, I am a teenager, so, "technically" a minor child (This will tie In later), So, when I found this out, I was sort of overwhelmed, and wanted to talk In private with my parents, But the ER Doctor "wouldn't allow me to do that", And When my mother requested If possibly we could go elsewhere, or come back In the morning, She was told, "If you leave this room we have the right to call social services", Right In front of me, and my whole family, SO demeaning, and my whole family were treated like idiots when we asked questions, and with a very snobby... Almost rude tone at times, Now, I had requested a numbing cream for both my blood draw, and IV, But was turned down, as, "none was available", but once I was In my room on the upper level, I was told by the nurse up there they had gotten a new stock In just a few days ago???!!!! (Don't judge, but I do have a fear of needles, So I was enraged when I found this out), overall, Again, demeaning, rude, This Incident happened awhile ago, But I think both of these hospitals in Sioux city are crappy based on experiences... Seriously, I'd go up to Omaha children's (In the past I've received amazing care from them, Sioux Falls Children's, not so much...) Again, is it just me or are most of these hospitals terrible?? (OR, If the situation warranted it) The Mayo clinic... (2 months ago)

Took my son in who's under 2 years old for his 105 fever and all they did was day to keep giving him water, although I asked them to take an influenza test 3 times and the Dr refused. I had to take my son back to a different E.R. st the end if the night because his fever didn't giveaway and found out he has influenza a. I will never return to mercy again after this. I filed a complaint and received one call where the woman on the phone asked questions as if she was interrogating ME and then I never heard from anyone again. They did not care about my concerns. They only called to see if I was going to do anything about it (3 months ago)

Spectacular hospital, staff loves their job and we had very good experience! DO Hay, RN Sara, RN Karen, RN Donna, RN Mary, RN Danielle and many more that we cannot remember all the names from Labor and Delivery, you guys are awesome! (4 months ago)

Doctor was in and out like flash. On my report he only listed one of the 5 symptoms I am having. Told me to follow up with my primary care physician and booted me out the Door. Alot of the other staff were amazing. However the doctor I seen, which I don't even know his name as I'm positive he never provided it to me seemed like he could care less about me as a patient. I felt like a number and i will never be returning here again. Cost me 250 dollars to still be in the dark. (5 months ago)
