Had to go to ER 3 times in 2 months. Nurses we're great, docs were good and listened to what I had to say. Ended up going back for scheduled outpatient IVs in the ER and the staff were all wonderful. Gotta love the reception staff who were caring and helpful. (2 months ago)

Long time to be seen, doctors were rude didn’t say hi or anything and i was in so much pain they didn’t give me anything so I went to muskegon and got my right care there I will never go back to shelby er again they worthless (7 months ago)

Took my husband there at 400am for severe muscle spasms. There appeared to be blood spots on the floor. Waited forever to get looked at saw the doctor for 2 minutes. Since then I have gotten 4 separate bills one for the error room we sat in, I think they charged by the minute another for the doctor 160 bucks for 2 minutes. All together with medicare insurance paying 80% we have to pay 600 dollars. Deplorable. Discussing. Money hungry. There is no mercy at mercy hospital! (a year ago)

I had a most pleasant experience at the Lakeshore Campus of Mercy Health. I had an object lodged in my ear and Dr. Roger Holman was able to dislodge expeditiously. He was kind and caring and, most of all, painless. The care and concern of the entire staff was most refreshing. Nurse Cynthia Schultz was most efficient and professional. Being employed as a health professional at the College of Medicine at UIC in charge of hospital evaluations, it was pleasing to find this facility operating at such a high level of professionalism and caring. Well done. (a year ago)

I brought a friend into the emergency department with two deep cuts on the back and top of his head following an off-roading accident. Upon entering three staff members behind the desk didn't break their personal conversation until we had to audibly ask for help. While I waited as my friend was seen by a physician, I overheard the receptionists passing very unprofessional judgement completely within earshot of the waiting area, about patients the moment after they left. My friend was not checked or asked any questions about his apparent concussion, and applied no anesthetic as 8 staples were applied. No follow up was recommended or antibiotic prescribed. The poor care was not shocking given the emergency departments reputation here, but the lack of professionalism by the staff was horrific. (a year ago)
