This hospital is in disarray. It needs to be sold or closed! I was abused by a Cooperc Dr. Yes, Memorial Hospital does not even have many of their own Dr's. They lease out Cooper Hospital Dr's who truly do not care about the mistreatment of patients or the hospital itself. The Nurses are rated A Plus but they have no authority over Cooper Doctors. Reports are on file with State Police, Office of Disabled and State of NJ Investigators and also reported to Executive Management Ms.Torres,CEO of Memorial Hospitals office. Shameful and disgraceful and abusive treatment. (in the last week)

Don't ever go here if you're in pain-you will only get treated like a drug seeker. My mom took me here because I fell in the shower and hit my head, neck, and back as a result. I could overhear the staff talking about me, laughing about the state of my condition and saying that I was only there to get painkillers. My mom and I also overheard them making fun of another patient-not only joking about having a fish bone stuck in her finger, but showed their racism by letting out an African chant in a mocking way after the patient left!! So thank you Salem Hospital, for making me feel bad for being injured. You owe me, that patient, and everyone else you've victimized an apology. If you expect to be respected, try having some consideration for your patients and be professional about your job. Would you want to be treated like garbage if YOU were the patient? What about your loved ones? How would you feel if they were mistreated by hospital staff? Please consider this the next time you're laughing at a patient. Grow up and take your job seriously! Salem hospital is simply the worst. Not everybody wants narcotics. If it wasn't for the Cooper doctors they have now, that place would of been closed its doors. My advice is to go to them if you're in a life or death situation. Once there, get them to transfer you out to any other hospital, you must make it clear to them. Once stable, you'd like to be transferred. (4 months ago)

I never wait very long. Dr. Gererra was my doctor and was super compassionate. They even had an on call ultra sound tech come in to check to see if I had a blood clot in my leg, being pregnant. Small hospital which is good in my opinion because it's less chaotic. (4 months ago)

Elmee Hospital is sooo much nicer and quicker. Salem is sooo slow!! I hate to have to go here but 2 of my drs work through here and for them I HAVE to go here. There is a blood spot right in the town where I live that I can go to for every dr except 1 but have to go 2 towns over to go to MHSC just for a blood test!! So sad. (6 months ago)
