Still battling with this terrible medical facility almost 2 years later. I had check myself out in fear for my own life and go to another hospital. The other hospital had me on the way to wellness and back home in 2 1/2 hours. Spent 2 1/2 days of pure hell at medical center of McKinney. Please for your own safety don't go there. (2 weeks ago)

Horrible hospital with very poor billing practices. My 80 yr old mother in law had just arrived from a very long over seas flight and wasn't feeling well. She was fatigued and dehydrated, but insisted on going to the ER. So, we took her to the closest one near our home. They admitted her without even asking what may be wrong and immediately started treating her for things she never even needed. They started with X-rays and blood tests. They never asked her for any kind of medical history. They only explained why they did the X-ray after we kept asking they why they needed them. If they had asked at the beginning of the visit about any prior surgery, they wouldn't have needed to do the blood test or X-rays. Well, a month later, we get three bills. One for Radiology, one for Pathology, and one for the Dr. No problem, right? We had given them the international travel insurance that should have been used for this visit. They scanned it, but apparently had no idea how to call them and figure out how to proceed with getting paid. Instead, they never bill us for the actual hospital visit. The first three bills were ok, but the hospital bill that we NEVER received was $9,000 for basically sitting in a room for five hours. We never got any kind of medical receipt or form showing us what they did or how much we owed. Now, five months later, I get a call from some debt collector in Switzerland asking us to pay the bill which was never ever sent to us in the first place. No phone calls, no letter, nothing. I sent them a request for the medical procedures done and the medical history but as of now, I still haven't gotten any reply. I don't know how they run this hospital, but it's got to be the worst experience we've ever had. Stay away from them. We don't have an issue paying a bill, but at least call or send the bill to us if you don't understand how to use travel insurance. Don't send it to a debt collector. You're much better off going to Baylor or another reputable hospital. This one will take advantage of you and gouge your pocket book just because their administrative staff doesn't know how to bill a insurance company properly. (2 months ago)

As far as the ER is concerned, I wouldn’t take my worst enemy here. Horribly rude staff. The head nurse was awful. The nurse was awful. Wouldn’t bring anyone here and wouldn’t recommend this Emergency Room to anyone. (a month ago)

I cannot say enough about the amazing care I got there. I was brought in via ambulance to the ER after suffering hypoglycemia episode. Not only did they take amazing care of me, but went far and beyond and fed/entertained my 3.5 year old to comfort since he was with me the whole time until I was discharged. This was my second experience there, and honestly, you guys are our hospital of choice! Thank you for your professionalism, compassion and for a great experience. (5 months ago)

Ive been here for 12 days and have 6 more to go. My time here has been wonderful considering the circumstances. The nurses are so nice and attentive. My experience here has been great. So great that id like to personally name the nurses and thank them for doing such a great job taking care of me and my baby boy after he was born. First Kim and Cati where the nurses that helped me deliver my baby and they where so amazing. Also during my stay I had Shelly, Sibi, Devon amd Rhonda take care of me. Im so thankful to them all. If I had to do it all over again id come here oh yeah and Dr. Rajala is the bomb :) (4 weeks ago)
